Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur (ACAS), is one of the emerging educational institutions situated in the Malappuram District of Kerala. ACAS is a college offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs in various disciplines. ACAS has elaborate procedures for selection of qualified candidates for admission to various programs held by it. The admissions cycle at ACAS almost resembles that of the university to which it is affiliated. However, these varying specific dates may differ every year. In most cases, qualification in qualifying examinations conducted by recognized boards or universities is the minimum requirement for admission into any program at ACAS. Application Process

Application procedure for Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur, consists of the following steps in general:

1. Announcement for Admission: Announcements are made by the college through the official website and other media sources for various programs regarding the commencement of admissions.

2. Application Form: Candidates shall obtain application form and duly fill it. Application form may be downloaded from the college website or may be obtained in person from the college admission office. 

3. Submission of documents: Candidates have to submit the completed application form along with other documents that generally include:

• Mark sheets for qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, or as appropriate to the undergraduate degree
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Caste Certificate (If applicable for reservation categories)
• Other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Application Fee: Candidates have to pay a stipulated application fee. The mode and amount of fee payment need to be confirmed from the college.

5. Verification: Verification of documents submitted and details of application form by the college.

6. Merit List: For the programs in which the admissions are based purely on academic performance, a merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Voc Programs: Three B.Voc programs are offered by ACAS: Logistics Management, Hotel Management and Mobile Application Development. Each has an intake of 50 students. The admission will be based on performances by the students in the qualifying examinations and also any other specifications by the affiliating university in this regard. 

BA Programs: The college offers BA in Economics and BA in English with intake capacity of 45 and 40 students respectively. Admissions are based on the candidate's 10+2 results and the admission criteria of the university.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program allows for an intake for a maximum of 45 students. Academic performance in the qualifying examination of the student provides the basis for the admission process.

B.Sc Programs: This Degree gives the option for students to pursue B.Sc in Psychology (Hons), Computer Science, and Mathematics and Physics (Hons) with an intake of 36 students. Admission shall be based on the candidate's 10+2 results in the appropriate stream of science.

BTHM (Hons): Bachelor of Tourism and Hotel Management has a maximum intake of 36 students. This admission is based on academic performance of the candidate and according to university guidelines.

MA English: For this postgraduate program there is an intake of 12 students. Admission is generally based on the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate degree, preferably in English or related courses.

Ph.D Programs: ACAS has Ph.D programs in English, including one few as part-time, with an intake of 16 students for each. Admission to these research programs likely involves a more extensive procedure including evaluation of research proposal, interview and further assessment of qualification(s) evidencing research aptitude.
