You have a great score but the rank you may get may not be able to get the CSE branch in Coimbatore. Usually, you need 150 marks to get to the CSE branch. Try to opt for the other branches which have a fine chance to get it. If you are only up to CSE you may lose the seat even in other branches to make a choice.

Congratulations on a good score. Yes, you can get a seat in CSE in the open quota as the cutoff rank is around 1800 and your rank could be around 2000. As every year cutoff varies according to the exam standards and the number of people writing. As your rank is almost near you have a chance to get a seat.

Dear Aspirant, according to these marks and previous year trends your rank might be around 15500-18000 range. ( this might not be accurate due varying trends every year) . They are all very well experienced in their field of teaching. Most the faculty members have worked in core companies and that help them to make the students understand the theoretical concepts more efficiently by sharing their experiences. The course curriculum is structured in such a way that it helps students in understanding the very basics of engineering before going in depth. Faculties are experienced members with strong background. The teachers are great and knowledgeable and teaching quality is relatively better than other institutes. After getting the NBA accreditation, the curriculum has evolved a lot than expected.

Due to research the Amrita University Coimbatore campus is very strict for girls. Like

• No girls can sit near any boy in library.
• There hostel facility present and girls hostel inside the campus.
• If you getting out the campus you have to given permission from your parents legally then warden can leave you and warden is very strict.
• You can't seat after 6.30pm in play ground.
• In 1st year hostel return time 7.30pm strictly.
• Hostel foods are good and hygienic.

So these are the restriction and commonly girls are safe here. If you have no problems about all this restrictions then you can join here. But this college campus is very beautiful, big and clean.

As I have researched on both the colleges I guess both the colleges are good in placement wise but if we talk about KIIT for CSE than it's an amazing opportunity for you as every year the placement is growing in a better way. Almost 95% of students get placed in almost a good package. Getting a seat in CSE in KIIT is a dream of many students out there so if you are getting for CSE you must go for it. NOW, talking about ECE in KIIT then placement does happen but not that great as CSE. Almost 60% students get placement for ECE every year. So, for CSE KIIT is a good option. The highest package offered is 39lpa and whereas the average package offered is 6lpa.

Talking about AMRITA COIMBATORE, ECE here is one of the active departments in the campus. It follows a rigorous programme to make the student match with the current industry standards. The department is equipped with the state of the art laboratories for both research and academic purposes. Department also provides domestic and international internship opportunities to students. So, this college is a good option for both i.e, ECE &CSE.The highest package offered in ECE is 22lpa while the average is around 4-5lpa.
