As I have researched on both the colleges I guess both the colleges are good in placement wise but if we talk about KIIT for CSE than it's an amazing opportunity for you as every year the placement is growing in a better way. Almost 95% of students get placed in almost a good package. Getting a seat in CSE in KIIT is a dream of many students out there so if you are getting for CSE you must go for it. NOW, talking about ECE in KIIT then placement does happen but not that great as CSE. Almost 60% students get placement for ECE every year. So, for CSE KIIT is a good option. The highest package offered is 39lpa and whereas the average package offered is 6lpa.

Talking about AMRITA COIMBATORE, ECE here is one of the active departments in the campus. It follows a rigorous programme to make the student match with the current industry standards. The department is equipped with the state of the art laboratories for both research and academic purposes. Department also provides domestic and international internship opportunities to students. So, this college is a good option for both i.e, ECE &CSE.The highest package offered in ECE is 22lpa while the average is around 4-5lpa.

You know the cutoffs change every year as it depends on various factors. As you have mentioned that you belong to the state quota so the cutoffs will be quite low compared to the other state candidates. Going by last few years' cutoffs, it may be difficult to get Computer Science and Engineering in Coimbatore campus as the closing rank for CSE lies around 13000 rank. But you can surely expect Electronics and Communications Engineering as the closing rank for this branch lies around 16000 rank. Hello student. 4,900 is a bit higher rank. It might be difficult to get computer science branch in coimbatore campus. Where as in amruthapuri(that is in kerala ) campus, there are pretty good chances to get computer science. Try for bangalore branch too. Even over there, there are higher chances for you to get cse branch.

Actually the cutoffs for state quota candidates are quite low. Now going by last few years' data, and considering you as a general category student you have average chances of getting CSE in Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore if you are not from this state as the closing rank for other state candidates lie around 1800. And if you have state quota, you can surely get Computer Science and Engineering in Coimbatore campus. However this is based on previous few years' cutoffs and this year it might change. According to your question you did not mention what state category you belong according to the previous year cutoff trends of AEEE for Computer science engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore there will be two categories in general they are home state and other state or open and for the open state candidates the cutoff rank is 1813 and for home state candidates it is 13801 so, as you did not mention anything about that in your question so, with 5561 in AEEE which is far more than 1813 you will not be able to get into Computer science engineering at Amrita University, Coimbatore but if you have home state quota you will surely be able to get into Computer science engineering at Amrita as the cutoff in that case is 13801.

Firstly both colleges are similar. But I would suggest you prefer a college near to your location. Because if you compare both the college fees they are nearly the same but VIT's fee is slightly higher.

If we compare All India Ranks of both the Universities, Amrita was ranked 15 and VIT Vellore stands on 17.

If we compare placements, the Highest salary offered in placement 2020 is 41.6 LPA. The regular offer would be greater than 3LPA.

The highest salary offered is 52LPA. The average salary offered is 6lpa.

But if you compared with infrastructure, placement alumni, etc I would suggest you go with VIT, as you will get of a lot of exposure.
