Dear Student,

As you belongs to Andhra Pradesh so you will be counted as open state student and the cutoff of open state student is too much high to get admission in any campus of Amrita. For CSE in coimbatore one should come under the rank of 2K and for CSE (S) you need to come under the rank of 2.3K for the safe side.

So there is a chance that you can get CSE (S) in coimbatore campus but there is not a surety. Moreover you can get Amritapuri and Bangalore campus easily with CSE in this score for the open state student.

Good Luck :)

Hey,
You did not mention your category so i have considered you a general category student. It is a good rank but not a safe rank. As per last few years cutoff your rank is near to the rank for getting Computer Science Engineering. So you may or may not get your desired branch in Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore.
But there are chanes of getting branch like
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
For CSE cutoff may lie between 1200-1800. So lets hope for it.
You can the last few years cutoff on this link:

Hello aspirant,

Kudos on your score and rank!

With your rank, you are eligible for any branch at main campus. Coming to CSE yes, yes you have high chance of getting CSE in initial phase.

But please be mindful that as CSE is a popular branch, things like seat availability plays a major role. The seat matrix for every branch at Amrita is 60 seats. But it may vary, the decision solely lies with the university.

Nevertheless, you have a high chance of getting your desired branch. To access previous years cut off ranks, access the link below:

I hope this information helps!

Thank you!

hi,

see amrita vishavidyapitham coimbatore or any other branches offers best placement to computer science and electronics and communication engineering department. however companies like reliance industry, tcs, amazon etc hires for  chemical engineers, the major recruiters are IT industry like wipro, tcs, infosys and students from all of the department are allowed to participate in IT placement.

so my suggestion is it is better to join circuit branch or cse, IT stream rather than chemical engineering at private colleges.

generally the work opportunity in core industry for chemical engineers are less compare to circuit branches or cse/ IT.

hope you understand.

Hi aspirant,

The chances of you getting any course any course at Coimbatore campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham looks glim. Though you can have a try at lower and non core branches which are generally neglected by aspirants these days in search of tech and core branches.

You should better try at other sister campuses which have comparitively lesser competition. You can get details of closing ranks for various courses at Amrita University at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

Hope it helps!!

Hi Aspirant,

At Amritha University, AEEE will go for 70% of seat distribution, while Jee Mains will go for 30%. In order to apply to a college using your jee mains score, you must meet the exam cutoff score. The expected cutoff for this year is around 89 to 90 percentile for the general category, based on the result analysis. However, because the top percentile will be selected depending on the number of submissions, it is impossible to predict.

They offer scholarships according on the results of the Amrita entrance exam. A total of 230 scholarships are given about 10% of total seats. Students with less than 1000 ranks may be eligible for a 90% scholarship. Scholarships of up to 50% are available for the rank upto 2000. If your rank is upto 4000 you can get 25%  scholarships across all branches based on the number of students enrolled.

Hope this information helps.

Good Luck!

Hi aspirant,

Though you have quite a descent performance, but it would not be possible to get CSE at Coimbatore or Amritapuri campus with the mentioned score. The analysis of past trends for Rank vs marks suggests that your rank will lie around 9k that is in high contrast to the past closing ranks that was around 1.5k at Coimbatore and 3k at Amritapuri for open quota candidates. You can however try at either of the Amravati, Kochi or Mysore campuses for a seat in CSE program.

Hope it helps!!

Hello,

The both marks which you have mentioned is quite impressive and it shows your hard work and dedication towards the exam. Now as you are interested in Amrita University or any NIT’s than i would say that surely you have a very good chance only the thing is in any top level of colleges you might face difficulties due to the huge competition specially for CSE branch because of its future scope. But definitely you should try for the admission in your desired colleges, but before that you should calculate your rank first by using rank predictor and the link for it is given below:

Now after getting rank you can simply compare it with the different colleges and come to know that where you have scope of getting admission, making it more easy you can use the other link to check the colleges where you have chance of getting admission, the link is:

Thank you..

Hello ,

Any day VIT Vellore is a better option , they offer a lot of placements for all of their courses , from second year you can start your internships as well.

In Amrita  the 5 year Data science programme was just started 3 years back and I don't think they have proper facilities or requirements that is needed for an integrated course.

However in VIT Vellore try applying for BTech programmes and then do your masters in IIM or Abroad. Integrated students will not get as many companies as CSE and IT students , if you join the clubs in VIT you have a fair chance of getting placements . So lastly comparing both the colleges , VIT Vellore comes out as a better option

Thank you

If you are well focused on your studies and if you do the coursework while retaining and acquiring skills, then it would be easier for you to score good in any college.

Now Amrita is one of the most popular private institute and there the competition can be hard. So scoring good will be all over dependent on the skills you acquire and your own interpretation skills. So don't worry much about this scoring, focus on your studies and you will see you are doing great in the college.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
