GMRIT is good as compared to ANITS the greenery attracts you more than any thing else. College provide good infrastructure. It is a pollution and horn free campus. The College provides good sport arena which make u physically fit and mentally strong. Campus is 150 acre with clean road connectivity from department to department. And Canteen is similar to Canteen in movies. Faculty won't suffice to college. Some faculty may not teach well. Placements also good.

Both the branches that you mentioned in your query is good for engineering. However, IT branch has broader scope and many job related opportunities. You should choose the branch or college as per your preference.

As per the past year councelling the cutoffs for Andhra university ranges from 908-52818 with cse having the lowest and mechanical having the highest cutoff.

Hence it could be difficult for you to get cse as the branch in this university. Even ece and civil might be a bit difficult to get. But these cutoffs are highly volatile and change every year due to various reasons and this year's cutoff can't be predicted.

But you can always get into this university and try changing your branch after an year.

As per your question about which is best whether ANITS or MVGR, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences has comparatively good ranking and rating than MVGR College of Engineering. MVGR College of Engineering is quite average in terms of placement.

You did not mention your category so i am ansewring this based on the cutoff trends for general category. For mechanical engineering in Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences, Visakhapatnam , closing rank in 2020 was 11908. And that for 2019 was 15425.
