Hello,

Firstly in order to appear for UPSC exam candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, there is no specific aggregate required in this case, you can apply even in the final year, and you need to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, secondly if your question is if a degree in journalism and mass communication can help you in preparation of UPSC exam then the answer is no because the syllabus of UPSC is more humanities oriented, and hence having a graduation in subjects like political science, geography, history, law, public administration, economics to name a few helps tremendously, as there is considerable overlap with general studies and optional subjects, the only difference between aspirants belonging to humanities background and those who don't is simply is that the former is already well acquainted with the syllabus having studied the subjects at 10+2/graduation level however I want to emphasize that the eligibility criteria of UPSC CSE allows candidates from every stream to appear for the exam, and if you look at the list of toppers they come from diverse background such as medical, engineering, science, commerce etc, so there is no way why you cannot succeed with your choice of degree, eventually what matters is your focus, dedication and perseverance as these are the most important traits of any aspirant irrespective of the background they belong to academically, hence it's perfectly all right if you're interested in a career in journalism and mass communication, it's good to have a back plan up also,

Hello Aspirant,

Yes of course it would be Ok because if you are seeking admission in NITs/IIITs/CFTIs then you can get admission in these institutions on the basis of JEE-Main score and JEE-Advance is required for admission to IITs. So if you don't want to go for IITs then you can appear only for JEE-Main and there is no any kind of compulsion that you have to appear for JEE-Advance if you qualify JEE-Main, it's totally your choice. Because NITs are also good enough institutions and some good NITs are NIT Jaipur, NIT Warangal, NIT Allahabad and so on.

There are no such obligations you have to be a Btech in order to be a IAS. For UPSC CSE you need to be a graduate. You can be a graduate in any subject. So if you don't like physics and chemistry and if you have no interest in the subject then why will you waste your time. Instead you can go for a general course which will end in 3 years like BA/BSc/BCom after your 12th. That way you can learn your subject of interest as well as focus on the UPSC CSE preparations.

Hello aspirant,

What you thought is true. It's better to concentrate on one thing rather than going on with two options. If you concentrate only on JEE Mains then more likely you have good chances to score well in JEE Mains exam. If you concentrate on two exams then it effects your result. You won't be getting enough time to prepare for both the exams and you might end up not getting good score in both the exams. As your aim is to get Computer Science Engineering in NIT/NSIT so JEE Mains is enough for that and concentrate more on JEE Mains.

Hope this helps!!

Hello,

Yes, even if you have to choose Biology in class 11th and 12th, you can still become a scientist.Just make sure that you have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your subject in 12th and after completing this you can do engineering. And after completing engineering you will be eligible to appear for exams conducted by ISRO,BARC etc. If you can get admission in IITs then that would also be very good and will maximize your chances of getting in any space research institute.

Best of luck

Hi Aspirant!

As we all know that the number of attempts for JEE Mains has been increased from 1 to 4 in a single year. And total you have 12 attempts (3 consecutive years) so you have plenty of time and chances for your preparation and eventually score good. See, if you think you are doing well in Jee Mains, moreover you are getting good marks in the jee test series conducted by your coaching centre and you are confident enough that you will be able to handle the pressur of jee advanced preparation then you must join it. But make sure you are not doing it in any forced condition and stay linient towards yourself. Also, make sure that this does not effect your jee mains preparation or marks.

Hope I anwered your query, thankyou!
