College had almost all types of infrastructure, facilities are good, college is equipped with almost all types of labs and workshops .Library is big and almost all books are available, but there is no wifi at hostels hostels wre clran
I am studying chemical engineering .Quality of teaching is good almost all prof. come for teaching. Curriculum is not updated previously it is affiliated to vbu, hazaribagh but now it get affiliation from jut, ranchi .
Quality of placement is good but not as expected . No of placement 318 .highest placement offered by honda 10.18lakhs and lowest package offered is 3lakhs and avg package is 4.8 lakhs our college is supportive
The college infrastructure is good. We have a campus of 400 acres, although a large part of it is covered with trees. Class rooms are good. However regular classes are conducted in classes where you won't get smart boards and all. The labs needs renovation. We have club ground for sports. There's one canteen to hang out. Hostels are also average.
The curriculum is good and up to date under the JUT. Classes are conducted regularly and labs are also conducted strictly. Like most colleges some professors are really good. We have 2 mid sems now under JUT and you can give only one, the best marks of the two is considered.
Placements are aslo average. Last year i.e. 2018 a total of 318 were placed with average package around 4.83lpa. The highest package was ordered by honda r&d and tata of 10.12 and 10.11 respectively. The companies that visit are Tata steel ,Tata power,Usha martin, vedanta, ZS, tcs , ABG , JSW etc
The value for money is the best thing about this collage. The annual fee for general and obc is around 16000 and for girls and sc st it's around 6000. The hostel fee is only 7000 every year and mess fee is 3000 per month. When you are at BIT Sindri you would never feel you are wasting money, instead you are spending much less for good education.
College campus is good. Many students are engaged in club activities, many are engaged in sports. Those who want play volleyball or cricket near the hostel. Teachers are aslo very helpful and seniors are the most helpful ones in the college. Best thing about BIT is it's senior junior interaction. The location is not safe for girls in the night even inside the campus. The entry timings for girls are aslo strict.
Overall a good and reputed college at a very low price. You would get good education here and a chance to grow yourself and your skills.
College facilities are not as good as expected, but is the best college when considered from return on investment point of view. However the infrastructure is greately improved considerably in the past few years.
Professors are very well educated and teaching methodologies are not bad. They regularly come to classes and try to give their best but in recent years, the number of well educated teachers have decreased and para teachers have increased, so the quality of teaching is not tha same as it used to be.
I being a metallurgical engineering student would obviously brag about our placements scenario because..."metal settle hai" This year the placement senario has gone down bacause of recession still metallurgy has recorded the hightest number of placements.
Can never experience a campus life like BIT Sindri.
I took admission in the year 2018 that time the infrastructure was not so good. But now a days the diractoe sir spends a lot of money on the infrastructure. I personally believe that in coming years that BIT compete with IITs.
I am persuing Mechanical engineering and this is the core branch of BIT Sindri. All the professor have great knowledge And there are so many labs for Mechanical students with this we learn practical knowledge with makes us for jobs.
This year 318 students have been placed. Highest package - 10.12 lakh per annum in honda r&d. Average package be 4.8 lakh per annum. So many companies visit like TATA STEEL,VEDANTA,JSW,TCS NINJA,ZS,AQ,TATA POWER,L&T,ABG,ADANI,etc.
60,000 per year including mess which is very less comparing to other government college. So I think my money's worth.
First of all I love my coolege BIT SINDRI. I learn a lot from these place apart from acadmics. Beside acadmics so any fest ,culture event organise by the respective clubs of BIT SINDRI.If I am talking about seniors, teachers and staffs all are very supportive. In one field BIT is lagging is that there is no facility of medical.so it cann't handle the emergencies.
NO.
Birsa institute of technology formerly Bihar institute of technology is a public engineering institution, one of the oldest engineering college of India , established in 1949.Bit has a green campus extended upto to 400 acre .It has a huge fascinating auditorium,Deshpande auditorium, having capacity more than 800 students. Campus comprises of laboratories,Bit canteen, lecture hall, all well maintained by administration. The campus has a library with wide range of books. Our campus is in renovation
Our institute was affiliated with VBU until 2017,onwards it's affiliated to Jharkhand university of technology. Currently it houses 10 departments of engineering, three of natural sciences ,one in humanities one in earth science. Currently post graduate candidates are admitted in mechanical engineering department and electrical engineering department only. All professors and HODs are humble and have team spirit for there department, they are always available for students.
If you belongs to core branch(mechanical, electrical) you have greater chance to be placed. There are many companies who visits our campus for recruitment process,Top of them are TATA STEEL,ADITYA BIRLA GROUP, VEDANTA,HONDA etc. Getting placed in this top companies only depends on your own potential.
You have to pay only 55 to 60 thousands per year and if you belongs to non general categories, there is good chance to get funded by state government scheme(eklyan)
It won't be justice to say that college has all necessary facilities. In class It's very difficult to hear anything due to echo if you aren't on first bench. Lab doesn't have all necessary equipments. In thermodynamics lab everything is just a show piece nothing is in working condition. There is no WiFi facility in campus. Library is satisfactory but unorganised. No space for self study. Sports is satisfactory.
It's in very poor state here. We hardly get good teachers. Classes aren't very interesting. There are facilities but aren't being used. Some teachers are good. I don't think curriculum is well updated and makes us job ready.
Placement are average but not good enough for a government funded and well reputed college. But if you are aware and sincere students you can get good placement. Placement stats, placed - 318, highest - 10.12 honda r&d, average - 4.8lpa
This is best thing about this college. B tech can be done at minimal cost. 65000 per year including mess.
It's good, students need to earn Teachers support. They have to make a good network.
The college infrastructure is Very good. We have separate buildings for all the 10 branches available. All the Branch buildings have been recently renovated and are in excellent condition. We have a Central Library where you find all the books. We have a club ground where you can play anything you want. The main areas of our college are quite clean . We don't have WiFi in the campus.
The academics of this college is quite good. Classes are conducted on a regular basis and in recent times a large focus has been given on the proper conduction of classes. The syllabus is aslo adequate under the JUT. However the labs in mechanical engineering department are old and needs major focus.
The placements are good and are getting better every year. In 2018 a total of 318 students were placed considering off campus too. Honda R&D offered a maximum of 10.12lpa . Vedanta offers 7.95lpa and recruit mainly from mining and chemical. Other companies that visit are JSW, ABG, Adani, ZS, AQ, TCS, pinclick, cognizant etc.
The tuition fees for general students are around 15 to 18k along with the exam fee for every year . The mess charge is 3000 per month and hostel charge is 7000 every year which are far more less than any other engineering college. Overall you Will get good education and a technical degree along with placements at a very low cost.
The campus and hostel life is good here. You have some places to hang out here with your friends. The trends and certain places of BIT are amazing, you would enjoy it. Also we have a canteen and you would get basic things you need at the main gate. But for a mall or movies or pizza you have to travel 30kms to dhanbad.
It is a wonderful college and reputed one with excellent Alumni record. You Will getting good education at a Very low cost and amazing 4 years that you would never forget.
My college has a lot of equipment imported from Germany. These equipment are very old. College is very old. Infrastructure can be very much improved. Improvement is in progress. College area is more than 500 acres. Mostly Green.
The college has a legendary reputation for Mechanical Engineering. A lot of studies, research, equipment are dedicated to Mechanical Engineering students. Other good branches include Electrical, Metal, ECE
Placement scenario is much better than other private engineering colleges in India but this could be much better and much improved as compared to the legendary historical footprint it has left behind. It could have been much more.
College fees is extremely low as it a state-run engineering college. It is12-15k per year for gen male students. nearly half for other category students and Rs. 32 for females. Hostel fees is 5k per year and electricity bill is 2k per year.
Awesome. As it is with al colleges. Although I would grade it much above average
I would recommend it to the students of Jharkhand. Too many benefits to avail from Government.
The Infrastructure of the college is expended in a large area. Many new building are being made and old building are being renovated. In short Infrastructure of the college is developing rapidly. Siemens lab and IT labs are developed
Academics have always been the strength of this college. Every year some students qualify for gate, PSUs, ESE, etc. Siemens labs in the college is latest but the mechanical and electrical lab needs to be modified. Labs are not up to the mark.
Every year more then 60% of students gets placement. Although TAP cell is working to hard and has improved the quality of placement but due to is difficult to reach location many companies does not come here. Placement of Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, metallurgy, mining,CS , IT are good while the other are mot upto the mark.
The Fee of this college is not even 2lac( including mess charge, hostel charge and all other charges) and in the return what you get is lot.
You will enjoy a lot in the campus of BIT sindri. The seniors are too cooperative , they help a lot. A lot of event keeps happening in the college. You will feel yourself engaged in fun events with friends.
Yes, my college have all the necessary laboratories, workshops and library for studying purpose. Classrooms have smart boards and used regularly. Hostel is well maintained and food provided is hygienic.
I am studying electrical engineering because learning about machines and circuits are of my personal interest. The teachers are well talented and qualified. I think the quality of study is quite good and I think I will get a job.
As I have seen the quality of placement is quite good here in college. Highest salary package offered is of 10.12lpa. The average salary offered is of 4.8lpa. The college has supported many students for such good placements.
Yes, BIT Sindri accepts NIOS for Class 12 education when considering B.Tech admissions. However, some placement services or training integration—such as through TCS—may not include NIOS students, so it's best to check that specific detail with the institute directly.
You have a moderate chance of securing a CSE seat at BIT Sindri with a CML rank of 1375 and an OBC-NCL rank of 259 through JCECEB counseling Rounds 2 or 3.
While BIT Sindri's CSE program is highly competitive, your OBC-NCL category rank of 259 improves your prospects as category cutoffs are generally lower. Previous year trends and Round 2 and 3 can provide opportunities as ranks may drop slightly.
To increase your chances, monitor the official JCECEB website for cutoffs, actively participate in counseling, and consider including related branches like IT as backup options.
