Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College, Rajahmundry Admission Process

For admission to any of the engineering courses in Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College (BVCEC), Rajahmundry, an institution, there is a comprehensive admission process that spans across its branches of engineering. Typically, it opens with the admission cycle, which is normally aligned to the calendar year of the college starting mostly in August-September. Admission in B.Tech programs is mainly based on the national and state-level entrance tests. JEE Main and Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) are the main entrance exams that the BVCEC accepts. In the case of B-Tech courses, 70% of the Category A seats are filled on the basis of the merit rank secured by the candidates in EAMCET or JEE, while the remaining 30% of the seats will be allocated in Category B on merit basis to students of other states, Union Territories as well as candidates sponsored by NRIs.

This two-tier system would ensure a healthy mix of students from both local and outstation backgrounds. The most important qualification requirement for undergraduate programs is passing 10+2 from an accredited board in which the main compulsory subjects are Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.  M.Tech program admissions through BVCEC occur with the combination of Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) scores. Other additional measures of the eligibility criteria may also be a written test or interviews, depending on what the course requires.
