Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing, Gandhinagar Admission Process

The revered Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing (CMPCN) was the first institution with the recognition granted by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. CMPCN keeps on working with a constant flow to impart quality education to nursing disciplines. CMPCN administers all branches of nursing programmes from their respective diploma courses, undergraduate courses, and postgraduate courses, as they are capable at every stage of nursing education. CMPCN admission procedure is primarily designed for the selection of dedicated and competent candidates to various nursing programmes. CMPCN admissions are made each year by the college for B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM), and various pathy in M.Sc Nursing.

The CMPCN admission for undergraduate programmes like B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing are mostly based on the qualifying examination which can be considered by the candidates (10+2 for B.Sc Nursing, Diploma in Nursing for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing). GNM and ANM programmes also possess eligibility criteria based on their academic qualifications. Then for specialisations in M.Sc Nursing like M.Sc Nursing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Paediatric Nursing are generally given admission for postgraduate courses based on the performance of the candidates in the B.Sc Nursing degree and any entrance tests appeared for. 

CMPCN Application Process

Admission application procedures in the Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing, Gandhinagar, usually comprise the following stages:

CMPCN GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) Admission Process

CMPCN offers 50 seats for the GNM course. Candidates eligible to apply are those who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination. The selection of candidates may involve an entrance examination and consideration of their academic performances.

CMPCN ANM (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery) Admission Process

CMPCN admits 20 students for the ANM course. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 or its equivalent. The admission will take place based on an entrance exam and merit.

CMPCN B.Sc Nursing Admission Process

For B.Sc Nursing, 60 seats are given to applicants who have passed the 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. The admission procedure may also account for the candidate's marks in the qualifying examination and any entrance tests held at the state level or institute level.

CMPCN Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission Process

This Post Basic B.Sc Nursing programme has 30 seats and is meant for registered nurses completing the GNM course. Candidates can apply with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registration with the State Nursing Council.

CMPCN M.Sc Nursing Admission Process

M.Sc Nursing programmes are offered in various specialisations by CMPCN, having different capacity intakes:

Eligible candidates will have a B.Sc Nursing degree or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree with minimum required percentage and registered with the State Nursing Council.

CMPCN Documents Required

  • Marksheets of qualifying exams (10th, 12th, or previous nursing qualifications)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
  • A few recent passport-size photographs
