College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

A full-fledged library was established with a seating capacity of more than 100 students. There are sufficient books available at the college library for students published by international and national publishers. More than 1000 back volumes of scientific journals of national and international importance are available in the library. Some of the scientific journals are also subscribed to by the library each year. The subject-wise books have been classified and listed.

The Computer Lab was well established and totally air-conditioned with a seating capacity of more than 40 students. A computer lab equipped with modern PCs and good power backup facilities, loaded with the latest educationally useful software, was established with speed internet connectivity with firewall security, in the college where U.G. and P.G. students can access it during office hours on working days.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

All the girl students of different UG and PG programmes are accommodated in the university girls’ hostel. Accordingly, girl students seeking admission in the veterinary college are also accommodated in the girls’ hostel, which has all the required facilities.

Two boys' hostels have been provided by the university. One hostel for boys with a capacity of 108 students along with a dining hall, a recreation room, a reading hall, etc., was completed during 2009-10, and all students were accommodated from academic year 2009-10, in the said hostel named as “GOVARDHAN”. Another boy’s hostel having a capacity of 144 students along with other required facilities was completed during 2012-13, and all students were accommodated from the academic year 2012-13. The hostel is named "GOKULESH".

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The Placement Cell of the College is working to strengthen the UG and PG students to possess the requisite knowledge, skill, and attitude for the advancement of career & personality development with an aim to have 100% placement of students. The placement team invites recruiters to conduct on- and off-campus recruitment. The Placement Cell motivates and helps the student community with their campus placements. The placement cell liaises with the interests of the students and the recruiting agencies. The Cell is busy providing the references to the students for advancement of subject knowledge and general knowledge, with special efforts in preparation for competitive examinations. Lectures by experts of different faculties/subjects are arranged for the students to update their knowledge. Guest lectures, mock interviews, personality development classes, etc. They are also organized right from the beginning of their program till they are ready for the hiring process. The placement cell of our institute is bringing out a recruiters' guide for everyone to showcase our pedagogical activities and provide the foremost information to prospective recruiters.
