Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Siwan Admission Process

Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Siwan, offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline of Ayurvedic medicine. Admission structure is systematic and largely based on national level entrance tests to keep up with the standards of the institute. Undergraduate aspirants must have their NEET scores while candidates from the national level examination are required to enter for BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) admission. Application Process

The application process regarding Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Siwan, varies according to the program:

For BAMS Program:

  2. Qualifying NEET with above the cut off marks is required for this category.
  3. Registering for State Counseling Procedures (obviously because college is in Bihar).
  4. Filling the college preference form during counseling and mentioning Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in the form.

For MD Programs (Kayachikitsa and Dravyaguna Vigyana):

  1. Appear for the AIAPGET examination.
  2. Qualifying AIAPGET with above the cutoff marks is required for admission.
  3. Registering for All India Ayush Post Graduate Counselling, which is conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).
  4. Under Online Counselling, choose Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital as one of the preferred institutions.
  5. Report to the college with the stipulated time for document verification and admission, if allotted.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): This is the flagship course of Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital with an intake of 60 students. The admission process is completely based on the merit of the NEET score. Eligible candidates who have successfully cleared NEET are invited to apply. The complete program offers exposure and training covering both theory and practice of Ayurvedic medicine.

MD Kayachikitsa: 4 seats are available for this postgraduate course. The admissions take place based on the merit list of the AIAPGET examination. Candidates must hold a BAMS degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine) to be eligible to apply. The course offers higher studies in Ayurvedic internal medicine.

MD Dravyaguna Vigyana: The same number of seats is available for admission into this postgraduate course as with MD Kayachikitsa. The admissions procedure is based on AIAPGET scores. To be eligible for this program, candidates must have obtained their BAMS degree from an approved institution. This program studies Ayurvedic pharmacology and medicinal plants.

Required Documents: Candidates generally prepare the following documents for admission processes:

  • NEET/AIAPGET score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • BAMS degree certificate and mark sheets (for PG admissions)
  • Valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applying under reserved category)
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
