Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Physical Education, Tiruchendur, is one of the premier institutions for physical education in Tamil Nadu. The college takes students in on the basis of merit following the Rule of Reservation as approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. All admissions are on the merit list drawn up from the scores obtained in the Test, as per the Rule of Reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

M.P.Ed (Master in Physical Education): 40 Seats sanctioned M.P.Ed course is on the basis of merit after following Reservation rules of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Selection is based on a composite assessment of academic performance and some relevant criteria.

M.Phil Physical Education: An M.Phil in Physical Education is available in this college. However, it has not given any description about the admission procedure and the number of seats.

Ph.D Physical Education (Full-time and Part-time): The college also conducts the Ph.D program in Physical Education, full time and part time. The admissions in Ph.Ds are probably based upon a more rigorous selection procedure, but no specifications have been laid down.
