Dungarpur College of Engineering and Technology, Dungarpur Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

The Dungarpur College of Engineering and Technology (DCET), is a government-aided institution and a constituent college of Dungarpur situated in Rajasthan. The institute offers engineering courses at the undergraduate level for both boys and girls. The admission process at DCET aims to select students for its engineering programs through national-level entrance-based examinations.  Selection into B.Tech programs in DCET is primarily based on the scores received from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main test, which is one of the nationally recognized engineering entrance tests. Subsequently, for admission purposes, the college accepts scores from the Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET). 

Admission schedules are further based upon arrangements made during the JEE; this usually begins in January every year. The eligibility criteria for B. Tech program admission are passing the 10+2 or an equivalent examination in Physics, Mathematics, and any one additional subject from Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology or any technical vocational subject. Applicants must qualify in JEE Main or RPET exams for admission purposes. The college offers four B.Tech programs: Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering of 60 seats up for all these programs. 

Admission Process

The admission procedure at Dungarpur College of Engineering and Technology varies according to different programs:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify in JEE Main examination, conduction by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. Register for the state-level counseling process (for RPET qualified candidates).

3. Fill out DCET application forms, which generally will be uploaded on the college site or will be collected from the admission office.

4. Submit the duly completed Application Form with requisite enclosures to the admission office. The enclosures include

• JEE Main/RPET score card
• 10th and 12th mark sheet
• Character certificate
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Domicile certificate (if required)

5. Pay the application as specified by the college.

6. Candidates who are finally shortlisted shall be called for counseling during which seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit and availability.

7. Candidates finally admitted will pay dues and submit original documents for verification.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: For admission to B.Tech programs at DCET, majorly through JEE Main has taken place. The programs being offered include Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. An intake of 60 seats is given for each program. For a candidate to be eligible, passing 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject along with qualifying in JEE Main examination is required.

The institute, for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, also offers diploma programs. Admission for these programs is entirely different than those of B.Tech. It is a three-year program with full-time study for which a total fee of Rs. 84,000 has been proposed.
