I have secured rank 40k in jee mains. Can I get any nit with branches mechanical and civil other than that of north east nit's??

Hello,

I am extremely sorry to tell you, with 40k rank in Jee mains and considering no reservation quota, your chances of getting mechanical in any NITs in mainland India is very low. Even in north-eastern NITs, older ones like NIT Agartala and Silchar closes around 37000 rank. Only other NIT where you can get Mech with this rank is NIT Srinagar which closed in 51k rank. The same case stands valid with Civil Engineering also, all the NITs in mainland closes in and around 35k rank at maximum. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-btech-civil-engineering. Your best chance is NIT Agartala and NIT Srinagar considering other state quota. I am suggesting NIT Agartala because unlike other New NITs of north-east, its a fairly old college(estd. in 1958) and is NIT since 2006, which makes it better in every sense.

Hiii....I have scored around 71% in my Class 12 Board and also I have a quota of North East. So is it possible for me to get admission ?

Hey Rahul,
Colleges provide admissions vased upon general category, sc/st categories,obc categories,north east quota etc. However the qualifying marks are quite less as compared to general category marks. So with your marks you have got quite good chances to get admission by north east quota. Also it depends upon the college and partly also on your stream.

Sir my mark is 154 from obc category can i get bds seat in north east

Tou have got less marka so there are less chanches of getting into bds as little more marka are needed for the sam e as you can do apply for the bds seat if it exists then well and fine otherwize some private institutions may prefer you.

Can I get seat in North East NITs or IIITs with obc rank 57k in jee mains

Hi spy ,
I regret to inform you that with such a low score you cannot get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.

As nits and iiits are one of the most sought after college of engineering so they have high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission.

Northeast nits cutoff rank for obc too get closed upto 12k to 15k.
But condition would be different if you have homestate quota in northeast region. Then you might get seat in nits.

As you have not mentioned category you belong to, so I assume it to be unreserved category(general). Previous year cut off for East Point College, Karnataka for unreserved category was 119 marks in NEET 2018.
As you are scoring 422 marks in NEET, you will surely get admission in East point college in courses of your choice.
