Hi,

NEET is a National Eligibility Entrance Test is national level competitive exam, which is taken every year for candidates having dream of becoming a doctor. Through NEET score, they can take admission in various colleges like AIMS, KGMU etc.,

The validity of score in India for taking admission in colleges is only one year. Candidate needs to re-appear next year, if they do not want to pursue any colleges this year.

However, for foreign admissions, the score is valid for three years. Candidates can apply to any foreign universities or colleges accepting NEET score within the three years.

As you have appeared in NEET 2019, so yes it's valid upto 2022. After which, you need to re-appear in NEET for further eligibility.

As you have mentioned, you are going to appear in 2022, so if you score well, you can use your latest score for taking admission in various foreign universities. However, for India, it will be valid for only one year.

I suggest you to use NEET college predictor offered by Careers360 at: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp

It will help you a lot during results time.

Thank you!

Hello there,

Hope you are doing well

For MBBS seat in government college, general category candidates requires around 580-600+ marks in NEET. With the score you have mentioned above it can be difficult for you to get admission in government college. You can still try in Subsequent or mop up rounds since in Karnataka there are colleges with low cut off. You should apply through state quota since according to state councelling 85% seats will be for state quota students. You can try in semi government or private colleges, there you might get admission easily. I am providing list of colleges you might get admission in, check them out :

St. John's Medical College, Banglore

MS Ramaiah Medical College, Banglore

The Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Attibele

Kasturba Medical college, Manglore

Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College.

Hello,

It wouldn't be a problem for you to get MBBS seat with your marks but the main issue you will face is is the budget of seat under Rs 5 Lakhs per annum.

-------- With 475 Marks it wouldn't be possible for you to get MBBS seat in Government Medical College. A General Category student must score above 600 marks to be assured of a seat in Government Medical College.

------- Fees of MBBS course in private Colleges is quite high and you won't find it suitable.

Hello Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to make any accurate prediction of your admission chances for any particular campus or branch because the cut-offs keep on changing every year depending upon various factors such as :-

*** number of candidates appeared in KCET 2022

*** difficulty level of the paper

*** top score for KCET 2022

*** total number of seats available for admission and so on

However on the basis of previous year's cut-off you have good chances in following government colleges :-

Government Engineering College Chamarajanagara

Government Engineering College Hassan

And some more....

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/kcet-cutoff

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

You can also use KCET College Predictor for more accurate predictions :-
