The GD Government College for Women, Alwar, a premier institution intended at imparting best education for women only. Degree wise Admission Process

BA: The Bachelor of Arts program at GD Government College for Women has 880 seats. Admission into the BA program is determined according to the merit list which is based on the scores of the 10+2 examination. The college provides several subjects in the BA program which allows students to have their subjects of choice.

B.Com: The number of B.Com seats provided by the college is 400. Admission to B.Com is through a competitive process against the merit list created out of the marks of students from the 10+2 examinations focus on commerce or its equivalent subjects.

B.Sc Maths Group: There are 210 seats available for the B.Sc Mathematics group, based on the merit list which is prepared from the scores of 10+2 examination, emphasis given to mathematics and science subjects.

B.Sc Bio Group: The B.Sc Biology group has a total of 140 seats in admission-dependent merit list prepared from the 10+2 test results emphasizing biology and other science subjects.

Diploma in Library Science: There are 40 seats for this course. Admission to the Diploma in Library Science course may be on special criteria which consider the academic background of the applicants in disciplines like this.

MA Programs: The various MA programs offered in the College include Hindi, Sanskrit, Political Science, and Psychology. Admission to these postgraduate programs would generally depend on the marks obtained in the relevant bachelor's degree. Specific admission criteria and number of seats may differ based on each program.

Eligibility. Students must have successfully completed the 12th Standard/HSC/10+2 (or comparable Level of Examination) from any recognised Board in order to be eligible for a B.Com. degree in Professional Studies. For the admissions process, several colleges favour applicants with a 50 percent grade point average. At the 10+2 level, they had to have received an overall grade of at least 45%. The minimal percentage needed for admission to Bachelor of Commerce courses varies depending on the college that candidates are applying to.
