Girivasan College of Education, Dharmapuri is a reputed teacher education establishment recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college conducts Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs for would-be teachers to prepare them for successful teaching careers in the field of education. The admissions at Girivasan College of Education are done on the basis of the norms of the State Government, UT Administration, and that of affiliated University. The merit-based systems of admissions, where the candidates get selected based on the performance of a qualifying examination and/or on the basis of department entrance examination, ensure that the most deserving and capable candidates are selected for the B.Ed program.

Application Process

The following are the steps involved in applying for admission at the Girivasan College of Education, Dharmapuri:

3. Form Hint: The candidate fills up the application form and gives the correct personal and academic details.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): In the course of the B.Ed program, Girivasan College of Education is the major course offered by that institution in a face-to-face program that attaches an approved capacity for 100 candidates every year. The admission procedure shall be as follows for the B.Ed course:

  1. Eligibility: Candidates should complete their bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  2. Selection Criteria: Candidates are admitted to the program by merit based on marks in a qualifying examination and/or performance in an entrance examination.

  6. Document Verification: Based on the evidence of preferred admission, candidates must produce all documents required for verification following the selection.
