GITAM School of Technology, Hyderabad Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

GITAM School of Technology, Hyderabad, which commands a good reputation for itself in our country, provides opportunities for a wide-ranging array of undergraduate, postgraduate, or research programs in engineering and technology. The admission process at GITAM School of Technology clearly indicates that it attracts specialized talent through an entrance test merit mechanism.

Most of the programs under GITAM School of Technology will require candidates to pass the GITAM Admission Test (or GITAM GAT) for purposes of admission. The very name of the examination carries with it an indication that this is going to be a university-level entrance exam for different undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Application procedure for GITAM GAT spans this December until March next year.

For admission into B. Tech programs, the basic eligibility criteria require candidates to have completed classes 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Admission into the B.Tech courses is based on GITAM GAT marks. However, the institute accepts GITAM scores for some programs.

Application Process

For B.Tech Programs:

• Register for the GITAM GAT through the official website (Application Date: December 13, 2024, to March 27, 2025).

• Fill out the online application and pay the application fees.

• Book a time slot for the GITAM GAT online examination.

• Appear for the GITAM GAT examination on the given date.

• Wait for the results and counseling.

• If selected, an admissions process including document verification and fee payment will occur.

For M.Tech Programs:

• Qualifying in GATE examination or TS PGECET as applicable.

• Apply for desired M.Tech program in GITAM School of Technology.

• Submit all requisite documents mill GATE/TS PGECET score card and academic credentials.

• Attend counseling if shortlisted.

• Fulfill admission process if selected.

For PhD Programs:

• Log onto GITAM's official website for announcements about PhD admissions.

• Fill an online application form for the relevant department.

• Participate in the written test and/or interview as scheduled by the concerned department.

• Undergo admission procedure including document verification and fee payment, if selected.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech:
The Graduate School of Technology only conducts B.TECH programs, 11 courses being conducted with an intake of 1320 seats.
The main base of the admission still remains GITAM GAT.
Some of the specializations are Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science and Business Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Internet of Things.

M.Tech:
Various M.Tech programs for a total of 42 seats are provided under the GITAM School of Technology.
The major mode of admission is by GATE, with TS PGECET scores being accepted for specific cases.
The offered specializations include Computer Science and Engineering, Machine Design and Robotics, Data Science, Computer-Aided Structural Analysis and Design, and Electronics Design and Technology.

Ph.D. Admission:
Ph.D. programs at GITAM School of Technology are available in the following areas: Civil Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Electronics and Communication Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Information Technology; Mechanical Engineering.
Admission to these programs is through the performance in a written test and/or interview conducted by the respective departments.
