Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital, Gwalior, is a premier college offering traditional Ayurvedic education and treatment. The college follows merit-based selection for admission to its courses. Admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a national medical entrance test. Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: The Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital, Gwalior, has an approved strength of 75 seats for the BAMS course. Entry to the BAMS course is made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the NEET entrance examination. The BAMS course is a six-year full-time undergraduate course that is the backbone of Ayurveda education.

MD Kriya Sharir: The college offers 5 seats for the MD in Kriya Sharir course, which is a three-year postgraduate course. Admission to this course is conducted through the Pre-PG Common Entrance Test by VYAPAM. This higher course is for candidates who wish to specialize in the topic of Kriya Sharir (Ayurvedic Physiology).

Documents needed for both courses as such are:

  • NEET/Pre-PG entrance exam score card
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Certificate of BAMS degree (for MD course)
  • Category and domicile certificates (if necessary)
