Government Ayurved College, Vadodara Admission Process

Government Ayurveda College, Vadodara, is the foremost institution of Ayurvedic learning in the state of Gujarat, India. The institution educates and teaches students using the principles of Ayurveda in addition to treatment.  Government Ayurveda College ,Vadodara admission procedure is purely on merit and well-coordinated. For undergraduate admissions, the college uses NET scores. This pan-India medical entrance test is paramount for every candidate who sets his foot into the gate for BAMS-having cleared NEET prescribed eligible marks by the institute.

Besides, MD Dravyaguna Vigyana and MD Rasa Shastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana come under the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). Such tests ensure that only candidates with a solid foundation and aptitude towards Ayurvedic studies will be received into the higher programs. Application Process

The application procedure is different for the various programmes offered by the government Ayurved College, Vadodara:

For BAMS:

  1. A candidate needs to appear for the NEET examination, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  2. A candidate would qualify in NEET based on cut-off scores.
  3. Register on the state-level counseling procedure since the college belongs to the state government. 
  4. Fill the college preference form at the time of counseling. The government Ayurved College, Vadodara, will be listed.
  5. If allotted a seat, one should report for the verification of documents and formalities related to admission.

MD programs (in Dravyaguna Vigyana and Rasa Shastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana):

  1. A candidate is to appear for the examination AIAPGET.
  2. A candidate would qualify in AIAPGET based on cut-off scores.
  3. Register with All India Ayush Post Graduate Counselling or state-level PG counselling procedure.
  4. Fulfilling the college and course choice form during counseling. 
  5. In case of a seat allotment, one should report to Government Ayurved College, Vadodara, for document verification and admission process procedures.

The general list of documents required for admissions would encompass:

  • NEET/AIAPGET score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • BAMS degree certificate and mark sheets (for PG courses)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Domicile certificate
  • Category certificate
  • Recent passport-size photographs

Degree Wise Admission Process

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): BAMS at Government Ayurved College, Vadodara, is a full-time six-year program plus internship training. The college has 60 seats dedicated to this flagship undergraduate program. Admission to BAMS is granted based on NEET scores. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as deciding subjects. They should also satisfy the regulatory authority minimum eligibility criteria.

MD Dravyaguna Vigyana: This postgraduate degree allows a student to learn about medicinal plants and their properties. The course MD Dravyaguna Vigyana admits students following AIAPGET. A candidate, to be eligible for this course, should have completed his BAMS degree course from any accredited institute.

MD Rasa Shastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana: Ayurvedic pharmaceutics and the study of medicinal processing represent this postgraduate course. Admission to this course follows as in MD Dravyaguna Vigyana wherein it is based on the results of AIAPGET. Only a BAMS graduate could be eligible to apply for this specialization.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) graduate degree awarded after the study of five and a half years duration, including 1-year internship, the course offered by Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The admissions to the course are done through NEET counselling. So you will have to participate in NEET counselling for admissions. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct NEET 2021 counselling in the last week of October.
