Government College, Daman has developed a variety of programmes of study to meet student needs. The institution offer 10 courses, of which 05 are undergraduate and 05 are postgraduate courses.
For undergraduate programmes, admission to the Government College, Daman, is largely based on the merit of the marks obtained by the student in the 10+2 or equivalent examination. There are 120 seats each for the BA, B.Com, and B.Sc. For eligibility, a student has to have completed higher secondary education in the respective subject combinations as per their course.
The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying Bachelor's Degree for admission to the postgraduate courses in English and Economics. Selection for admission to postgraduate studies in M.Sc. follows- merit list. Government College, Daman gives 60 seats for M.Sc. Mathematics; 50 seats for M.Sc. Chemistry; and 20 each for M.Sc. Botany and M.Sc. Zoology. The student should have a Bachelor's Degree in the subject or closely related discipline.
The M.Com programme also admits students based on the merit list prepared from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying bachelor's degree. The programme has an intake of 60 seats. Candidates with a B.Com degree or equivalent are eligible to apply.
