Hello bharti..

As we know that some seats around 200 is reserved for  RBA category under the jkcet entrance examination. According to the last few years the cutoff under this category to get any seat is around 1000.

But you scored 2026 rank in this examination which is very low to get admission in any colleges in any stream under RBA category. You should work hard .

Good luck ...and comment for more queries regarding this....

Hello,

To get an secure admission in GCET Jammu, One must have a rank below 700. If any candidate want to join a branch of their own choice then rank should be below 200. Your rank is a way high to get CSE. You may get an admission in the college but in CSE branch the chances are low. If you want to study CSE then go for MIET where you are aleady secured.

MIET is also a good college with good placement increasing every year.

Hope it helps!

Hello,
Better to go for GCET, Jammu as you can get an admission easily. You can go for JEE main also but that would be difficult to get an admission and look for lots of colleges and go through the counseling process.
In GCET, for top branches like CSE or ECE or any other branches you can get an admission easily.
So better to take an admission in GCET.
Still decision is yours. Go for one which you like or find it suitable.
Hope it helps!

Congrats! for your amazing performance in the JKCET.

With this rank, you have a medium chance of getting CS or Electronics in GCET, Jammu.

This is because of the uncertainty in the preference of the candidates.

Still, with your rank, you will get into this college for sure.

Hello Pajl Kmran,

As I can see you have got 76 points with rank 238 +rba category. I am not sure that you can get or not but wait for the counciling before counciling it's not possible to say. But as per my knowledge you are having possibility to get civil branch in gcet Jammu.

Good Luck!

hello aspirant,

right now in india computer science is the most demandable stream. it is really difficult to get computer science at your rank.

from previous years admission record it should be under 250 rank to get computer science.

Hello,

As per previous years cutoff you have fair chances of getting Cs in Gcet Jammu.

Last year the cutoff for Cs was around 700 in the first round.

But don’t worry as there is more than one round in counselling session  and hence you can get Cs in 2nd or 3rd round.

Also you can get admission easily in various other colleges.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is pretty average. It is built on large acres of land and there is just so much left untouched. The building's exteriors are good but the walls inside are just average with a lot of wear and tear in almost all the places. There are multiple labs for everything required, but the computers are slow.
