               With overall rank of 7645 in BCM category, you can get ECE in GCT(Coimbatore), but the cutoff for ECE in CIT was 5519- 7243 in BCM category, so you have less chances of getting ECE in CIT. Also, according to previous year's cutoffs, you can get Chemical (ss) engineering, Civil(ss) engineering, and with overall rakn of 7645 in BCM category, you can get CSE(ss), EEE,IT(ss). Both colleges are good and both provide the facilities that you want however there is a small suggestion of not chasing the facilities rather you should chase down the faculty because after all its the only thing which will make you successful in life.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology is much better than the other. Be it placements or academics or curriculum everything is best there. It has got a nice atmosphere for fun and learning as well. If you hold a chance to get admission there then go ahead with that. Its a good college.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions ( TNEA ) is conducted by Anna University. The application form for which can be filled in both online and offline mode. Application fee can be paid online or via DD or cash.

• Candidates who have passed class 12 th from Tamil Nadu are eligible for TNEA.
• Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission. However, children of central Government employees not domiciled in Tamil Nadu have to provide a valid certificate of their parents who have been serving continuously for more than five years at the time of submission of application.

PACEMENT CRITERIA IN CIT:Placements in the college are good. Many good companies visit the college for placements. The college doesn't provide any training for the placements. In the year 2018, the highest salary package offered was 33.01 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Many top companies visited the college namely DE Shaw, Samsung, and Amazon, etc., to offer placements. Mass recruiters are TCS, CTS, Infosys, and Accenture also visit the campus. There is a placement cell which does nothing for the placements of students.

According to your tnea and Community(SC) and sports quota you have chance to get placed in all above three colleges according to seats they alloted for tnea counselling.If you go to normal counselling you will get placed in CIT and sri krishna College but as far as in GCT it is not possible to get placed.

By refering your Tnea rank along with community rank and you belong to sports quota and you are asking seat in CIT or GCT coimbatore. well my answer is you have slight edge to get courses in those colleges in various department.
