Degree wise Admission Process
BA Courses: GC Solan provides 11 BA Honours courses namely English, History, Political Science, Economics, Hindi, Public Administration, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, and Music. Admission is merit-based for these courses keeping in view the marks of the candidate in 10+2. The capacity is different for different courses ranging from 50 to 240 seats.
B.Sc Courses: B.Sc Honours courses in Physics, Zoology, Mathematics, Geology, Computer Applications, Botany, and Chemistry are offered. The admissions are merit-based with a seat range of 40 to 360 depending upon the specialisation.
B.Com and BBA: The admission trend is merit-based. The B.Com Honours course has an intake of 140 seats.
BCA: BCA admission is solely based on marks percentage in the entrance exam.
B.Voc Courses: GC Solan has B.Voc in Hospitality and Tourism and B.Voc in Retail Management. Both have 40 seats, and admission is merit-based.
MA Courses: The college provides MA in English and Economics, both with 20 seats. Admission is on the basis of an entrance test held by Himachal Pradesh University.
PGDCA: The college also provides a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.
Studying quality here is quite average. teachers are good but they only focus on theoretical study and not practicals. it is better to have practical study to gain hands on learning. curriculum of our camous comes under Himachal Pradesh university.
the college is good at academics teachers knows their job and they teach us very well also the curriculum is up to date the teachers here are so professional that they can teach with the reallofe examples
i studied b.com from this college. teachers are greatly experienced and helpful. curriculum is also good and updated according to the latest environment. practical approach of teaching projects and assignments makes a student in becoming job ready.

There are Various colleges which have good teaching , Good facilities and also good infrastructure!
