However, talking about placements there are many colleges whose placement is good. Also placement depends not only on the college but on the capabilities of the students, his/her mental ability and his/her overall personality. The recruitment also depends on thr branch of the course you have opted.

Chances are More to get VSSUT still it would be better to apply for both the option in the counselling process. There will be some rank relaxation for female category and home state quota but your rank has to be in range of cutoff. You may get in further rounds so keep trying if you don't get in 1st round.

Check 1st round cutoff and how much it will be lowered in 2nd round. Is you rank near to it. Look out for these details and take step.

for current year, cutoff is unpredictable as many factors are still unknown and it will be finalized only 2nd session of jee mains.
