The Government First Grade College for Women in Jamkhandi has been a premier institution for women's education in Karnataka. Degree wise Admission Process

B. A.: The Bachelor of Arts is conferred by the college. For admission into the BA program, a candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination is considered. Thus this course involves widespread study in the humanities subjects.

B. Sc: A candidate must have completed the 10+2 examination with science subjects for admission into the Bachelor of Science courses. This follows the selection of candidates based on marks from the qualifying examinations.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program takes in students based on merits in the 10+2 examination. This course imparts a solid background of principles related to business management.

B.Com: Admission procedure for Bachelor of Commerce considers the performance of candidates at the 10+2 level more so in commerce link subjects.

BSW: Admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program is done on the basis of marks at the 10+2 level and their suitability for social work.

For the BCA program, mathematics is the preferred 10+2 subject. Admission is granted based on merit in the qualifying examination.

MA in Kannada: A postgraduate degree in Kannada language and literature; candidates should possess a bachelor's degree (preferably in Kannada or a related area). Admission will be offered on the basis of marks of the qualifying degree.
