GMC Ratlam Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Government Medical College, Ratlam (GMC Ratlam) is a well-known medical college, located in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The college focuses on providing quality medical education and is affiliated with the National Medical Commission (NMC). GMC Ratlam offers undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses, with a merit-based admission process to select the most deserving students.

The entry of GMC Ratlam is primarily on the national-level entrance tests. For undergraduate programs, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is the mandatory entrance test. For postgraduate admissions, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) is employed.

The academic year in GMC Ratlam generally commences in August-September. Admission is initiated after the announcement of NEET-UG and NEET-PG examination dates, usually held during the first half of the year. After announcing results, seat allotment counseling begins.

Application process for GMC Ratlam varies according to the course:

For MBBS:

1. Appear for the NEET-UG examination.
2. Register in the counseling process as per the state or central counseling authority's instructions.
3. Fill the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
4. Upload required documents like NEET-UG score card, 10+2 mark sheet, domicile certificate (if required), and category certificate (if required).
5. Pay the fee as directed.
6. Visit the counseling procedure for seat allocation.
7. In case of allotment of a seat, report at GMC Ratlam for document verification and admission formalities.

For MD/MS Courses:

1. Qualify the NEET-PG exam.
2. Register yourself on the portal allotted for counseling.
3. Fill up online application form for GMC Ratlam's MD/MS courses.
4. Upload documents as and when required, like NEET-PG score card, MBBS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, and other supporting certificates.
5. Pay application fee.
6. Attend counseling process for seat allotment.
7. On selection, report to GMC Ratlam and get documents verified and complete admission formalities.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The MBBS program is the premium program of GMC Ratlam and it admits 180 students annually. Admission into the MBBS program is on merit basis alone in NEET-UG. The course is of 5.5 years duration with one year compulsory internship.

MD/MS Courses: GMC Ratlam has various postgraduate courses in various specialties. All the admissions for MD/MS are done through NEET-PG.
