Hey there

Due to the nationwide lockdown, the IIM shortlisting and admission process has been affected. The IIMs, which conduct WAT-PI in the month of April conducted online interviews for admission. But since the academic session begins in June, most of the IIMs have completed WAT-PI process. Final result announcement has begun with IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore declaring results on May 8 and May 9. Due to coronovirus outbreak, the IIMs will begin its academic session of 2020-2022 from August 1 as directed by the (AICTE). All admission related formalities have to be completed by July 31.

Hello aspirant,
Cut off of a specific college can differ every year. It depends upon various factors such as total number of aspirants, highest scorer, number of seats, difficulty level.
If we take previous year records , the expected cut-off of CAT for Great lakes was 80% and of CMAT was 85-90%.
Hope this help!

Hello Aspirant

Congratulations for converting Great lakes Chennai PGDM and also KJ Somaiya, PGDM in International business.

If we talk about these two colleges, they are considered in top 50 Colleges of India for management studies and many students have a dream to get into these colleges.

But if we need to select any one of them then it'll be depending upon your choice as if you are interested for international business PGDM then no doubt, KJ Somaiya will be best for it and if you want to do in marketing or general pgdm then, Great lakes Chennai will be good.

Also both college have almost same placements record with a average salary of above 10 lacs pa.

I'll prefer you to go for Great lakes institute of management, chennai as it's the main branch of GLIM and also pgdm is their flagship program while Pgdm in International business is not a flagship program of KJ Somaiya. Also great lakes Chennai is ranked above KJ Somaiya in rankings.

Hope this information would be helpful for you.

All the best for your bright future ahead.

Hello,

Please mention about which stream you want to know.

If you are asking in general then it is just a bar which is kept as eligibility criteria by college , institutes and organizations for selection or admission. So it is important to score above 60% which is quite stable and makes easy to go through the process. There are institutes like IIT and NIT where you can take admission only if you have 75% in 12th

Many MNCs hire candidates with eligibility criteria above 65 -75 also.

But there are many other option also where your skills will be considered over your academics score.

Hope it helps!

Thanks

Hello,
First of all congratulations , you have scored really well. And yes, you may get a call from GIM, Great Lakes and KJ Somiaya too. Great Lakes and KJ Somaiya is for sure there. And GIM cutoff actually varies between 90 to 97 percentile. So, there are some chances but can't say it with surety.

Hope it helps you. Good luck

Great Lakes Chennai considers an applicant pool of 500 students while giving a call so you can expect the cutoff to be a minimum of 98 percentile in CMAT.

For IMT Nagpur the minimum CMAT percentile required is 80 and for IMT Hyderabad they require a minimum score of 150 in CMAT. If you score more than 80 percentile you automatically get a call from both the Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses, provided that you've applied for IMT. But if your percentile is below 80 then you'll get a call only for IMT Nagpur. The GE/PI process for all the campuses except IMT Ghaziabad is conducted together and based on your performance you'll be allotted one of the two campuses.

Good Luck
