The college takes into consideration marks in the qualifying examination (10+2) for GGSCW admission to undergraduate programmes. For postgraduate students, merit is based on marks secured in the bachelor's degree.
The college offers a differ courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to serve different interests and aspirations.
GGSCW offers BA programmes with different specialisations, including English, Psychology, Economics, and Sociology. GGSCW admission to the BA programmes is purely merit-based according to the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. For BA, there is an overall intake of 450 slots.
The B.Com programmes are also run under a completely merit-based system. The college also offers 280 seats for the B.Com programmes, including B.Com (Hons).
For GGSCW admission in B.Sc., GGSCW holds a centralised admission process on the basis of merit. The intake is 80 combined for B.Sc Non-Medical and B.Sc Computer Science.
GGSCW admission for the course BCA is purely merit based, which offers 40 seats.
GGSCW has MA programmes in English, Sociology, and Economics. GGSCW admissions are on a merit basis with reference to the relevant bachelor's degree marks. Each programme has 60 seats.
GGSCW admission into the M.Sc (IT) based on merit with an allocation of 40 seats for the programme.
GGSCW admission in the M.Com course is also merit based with an intake of 40 seats.
