Gyan Prakash Swami Vivekanand Teacher's Training College, Khusrupur Admission Process

Affiliated to Patna University in Bihar, The institute has been recognized by the NCTE to run programs in teacher education. The college admits students on merit, which could be based on the qualifying examination marks or the entrance examination marks, dependent on the policies of the state government, UT administration, or affiliated university.  Candidates would be eligible if they have completed their qualifying examination for that particular stream. The particular academic requirements may vary as per the program and regulations set in place by the government. Age limits or other conditions, if any, will be reflected in the admission notifications from the college or relevant governing split-entities. 

The Application Process

The following mentioned protocols are applied in Gyan Prakash Swami Vivekanand Teacher's Training College, Khusrupur, for the admission process:

1. Announcement of admissions: Commencement of admission will be announced either through media or on the official website of the academic institution.

2. Eligibility criteria: The candidates are to check whether they satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by the college and regulatory bodies for the concerned program they are applying for (D.El.Ed or B.Ed).

4. Submission of documents: Candidates shall submit the completed application form along with documents that generally incorporate

  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations

5. Entrance examination: Candidates may, in any event, appear for an entrance examination when required by the state government or UT administration, as notified by the examining authority concerned.

6. Preparation of merit list: The college will prepare a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test, in accordance with the policies of the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university.

7. Counseling & Admission: The candidates on the merit list shall be invited for counseling, during which their documents shall be verified; the candidate will complete the admission formalities including fee payment.

8. Registration: After the complete admission process is over and successful, candidates are registered in respective programs.

Degree wise Admission Process

Admission in D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) : The college has a carrying capacity of 100 seats for D.El.Ed courses. Admission will thus be purely on merit depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination. The rules on which the candidate admission is based shall be framed by the state government or UT administration. This two-year course enables the students to teach at the elementary level.

Admission in B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed program is allowed to operate with an intake of 100 students. The admission process, with respect to candidate selection criteria for B.Ed course, is essentially the same as for D.El.Ed, that is, based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or any entrance examination; however, all other considerations are based on the policies indicated by the affiliated university, further duly considering the extant criteria issued by the state government or UT administration. It is this 2-year program that qualifies students to teach at the secondary level.
