Degree wise Admission Procedure
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
The B.E. program in Indra Ganesan College of Education is sanctioned for an intake capacity of 100 students. B.Ed. admission is based on merit, which is the marks scored in the entrance test and/or qualifying test. Selection is made as per guidelines laid down by the state government, UT administration, and the parent university. The duration of the program is two years with an objective to endow students with a teaching vocation at secondary and higher secondary levels.
M.Ed. (Master of Education):
The M.Ed. course has 50 seats and is for those who want to develop advanced knowledge and skills in the field of education. The procedure of admission in M.Ed. is also merit-based, taking into account the marks secured in the qualifying examination (B.Ed. or equivalent) and the performance in the entrance test. The selection is as per the instructions given by the state government, university, or UT administration. The duration of the course is two years and is intended for the formation of educational leaders and researchers.
