JD Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital-Aligarh is one among top-notch institutes where Ayurveda is taught as well as practiced. Admission is purely on merit and structured, thus ensuring that only those selected are the most deserving.
The undergraduate entrants into the college are expected to have undergone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). This fulfills the undergraduate program, the BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) program counting 50 seats. Moreover, BAMS admissions take place through an entrance test conducted by the Association of Private Ayurved, Unani, and Homeopathic College of U.P..
The NEET PG score is essential for postgraduate admissions to said college. There are five postgraduate programs: MD Ayurved Samhita and Siddhanta; MD Rachna Sharir; MD Kriya Sharir; MD Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana; and MD Kayachikitsa. Each of these courses has their number of six seats except for MD Kayachikitsa, which has five.
Application Process
The modes of application to JD Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Aligarh, depend on the program chosen:
For BAMS:
1. Qualify NEET examination
2. Register for the entrance test conducted by the Association of Private Ayurved, Unani, and Homeopathic College of U.P.
3. Appear for the entrance test
4. Merit list is prepared based on entrance test performance
5. Admission is granted by the college against merit ranking.
For Postgraduate courses (MD programs):
1. Qualify NEET PG examination
2. Register for the entrance examination conducted by C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur
3. Appear for the entrance examination
4. The university publishes the rank list
5. Candidates are admitted to their choice of college and course based on their rank.
