All the best for your Future

Both Colleges, wont really effect your preparation for UPSC CSE, provided youre a serious aspirant. However, IET Lucknow has better faculty, infrastructure, strong curriculum besides above average placements being perhaps one of the best Engineering Colleges in UP Capital, Lucknow. KNIT Sultanpur is perhaps a good college, but nowhere near IET Lucknow in terms of Placements or Faculty.

However, IET Lucknow or KNIT Sultanpur, either College will have enough opportunities to help you build a strong profile, to represent during UPSC Interview provided you qualify.

Hello,

Both  Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET) Jhansi and Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT) Sultanpur are under State Government of Uttar Pradesh and holds good reputation in industry.

But if we compare many fields BIET Jhansi is better than KNIT.

In terms of placement, both colleges will not satisfy you.

In KNIT 60 - 70% student get placed 4 LPA and the highest package is 10 LPA.

In BIET 70 - 75% student get placed 3.5 LPA and the highest package is 8 LPA.

Thank you

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good colleges. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference order you should consider is BIET over KNIT.

  • B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at KNIT Sultanpur had the highest placement percentage of 65%
  • EPAM, TCS, WIPRO, and other service-based companies come in this college and the average placement is 4lpa and the highest package is 10lpa.
  • B.Tech Computer Science Engineering at BIET Jhansi had the highest placement percentage of 70%.
  • At BIET JHANSI, the placement of this year is started with finalizing the schedule of dream companies like ADOBE,TECH MAHINDRA, HCL COMNET, SYNERGY TECH, NECHCL ST, DSCL, JINDAL,ADTEL, L&T, SAMSUNG etc. the highest package offered this year is staggering Rs. 7.89 Lacs/year excluding benefits.

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing well and safe. As per your query , I would glad to inform you that if you want to know about the nirf ranking then has BIET has better nirf ranking . But if you want to about good infrastructure  well experienced faculities , coding culture then KNIT is very better . Moreover ,if you have good coding skills then you will get good placement from both college . KNIT has better placement scenario ,most of the students get placed with an average package of 4-5 lakhs and highest went upto 12 lakhs

Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future

Out of the four options, KNIT would be best if you consider campus life, teaching faculties, overall academic ambience of the college, placement records of previous years show median salary packages offered to students are 3-5 LPA as a fresher. Hope it helps,

Hope this will help you.

Thank you!

I would suggest you not to go for any other State Engineering College in UP apart from HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow. ECE at IET Lucknow is a Good Options, considering the flexibility of curriculum and the rising demand of the Electronics and Computational Sector. I would suggest you to perhaps try for IT at IET or any other good Core Branch at HBTU Kanpur. HBTU Kanpur have much better Placements than IET. The Situation of Campus Placements in Most Institutes in UP apart from Top Government and State Engineering Colleges apart from the many Private ones around Noida are worse. However, IET Lucknow ECE apart from having average to good Placements, with somewhat 60-70% Students getting Placed, has recently seen trend of many students preparing for GATE and moving to Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs, NITs and IISc Bangalore for MTech in Electronics/EC/VLSI Engineering followed by a strong career in the Technology Sector as well as many crack PSU Exams. Many even prepare for CAT followed by admission in Top Management Institutes like IIML, IITR, DMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IMT Ghaziabad, IEM IIT Kanpur among many others after BTech for MBA.
