Kshatriya College of Engineering at Nizamabad (KCEA) is an affiliated college and is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is all engineering and management-oriented from undergraduate to postgraduate and diploma levels. The admission system of KCEA is so framed as to allow the deserving candidates to be selected on the basis of performance in various entrance examinations. For KCEA, usually the admission cycle follows the academic calendar, beginning in August-September. The college accepts applications either through the national entrance examination or through the state entrance examinations, depending on the programme. For undergraduate engineering programmes, admissions are based mainly on the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET).
MBA programme admissions consider TSICET scores, while the diploma programmes have KCEA admissions through the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET). In B.Tech programmes, 70% of seats are filled on the basis of merit in the TS EAMCET conducted by the government of Telangana. The remaining 30% is reserved for Management/NRI. Lateral entry into courses would allow diploma holders KCEA admission to the second year of B.Tech programmes based on merit in the ECET conducted by the government of Telangana.

KCEA offers B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Data Science. KCEA admissions are done based on TS EAMCET scores. The college has a total intake of 150 seats for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, while other branches have 60 or 30 seats each. Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 with subjects Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
The MBA programme has 60 seats. Entrance to this programme is based on the scores obtained in TSICET. KCEA admission to 70% of the seats is based on the merit of this examination, while the rest may go through the management quota.
KCEA offers diploma programmes across several engineering branches, such as the Computer Science and Engineering Diploma, the Electronics and Communication Engineering Diploma, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Diploma, the Mechanical Engineering Diploma, and the Civil Engineering Diploma. The basis of KCEA admission is TS POLYCET scores into these diploma programmes. Each diploma programme has an intake of about 60 to 120 seats.
The college also has a BBA programme with an intake of 60 students. KCEA admission protocol for this may run parallel to the MBA one, assessing TSICET scores.
