Kshatriya College of Engineering, Nizamabad Admission Process

Kshatriya College of Engineering, Nizamabad (KCEA) is an affiliated college and is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is all engineering and management-oriented from undergraduate to postgraduate and diploma levels. The admission system of KCEA is so framed as to allow the deserving candidates to be selected on the basis of performance in various entrance examinations. For KCEA, usually the admission cycle follows the academic calendar beginning in August-September. The college accepts applications either through the national entrance examination or through the state entrance examinations, depending on the program. For undergraduate engineering programs, admissions are based mainly on the (Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) TS EAMCET. 

MBA program admissions consider TSICET scores, while the diploma programs have admissions through the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET). In B.Tech programs, 70% of seats are filled on the basis of merit in the TS EAMCET conducted by the government of Telangana. The remaining 30% is reserved for Management/NRI. Lateral entry into courses would allow diploma holders admission to the second year of B.Tech programs based on merit in the ECET conducted by the government of Telangana.

Application Process

The application process for Kshatriya College of Engineering, Nizamabad is different for each program.

For B.Tech Programs,

  1. After appearing for the TS EAMCET examination;
  2. After qualifying with a good rank in TS EAMCET;
  3. The candidate must attend the centralized counseling for admissions by TSCHE;
  4. The candidate selects KCEA and courses of his/her preference during counseling.
  5. The candidate must report to KCEA for document verification and admission formalities if a seat is allotted.

For MBA Programs,

  1. Appearing for the TSICET examination.
  2. Qualifying with a good score in TSICET.
  3. Participating in the centralized counseling process for MBA admissions.
  4. Selecting KCEA during the counseling process.
  5. Completing the remaining steps towards admission in KCEA if allotted a seat.

For Diploma Programs,

  1. The candidate should appear for TS POLYCET.
  2.  The candidate should qualify with a good rank in TS POLYCET.
  3. The candidate must attend centralized counseling for diploma admissions.
  4. The candidate selects KCEA and the diploma of their choice during counseling.
  5. The candidate reports to KCEA for completion of admission formalities if a seat is allotted.

Usually, the following documents are required to be submitted for admission:

  • TS EAMCET/ TSICET/ TS POLYCET rank card and hall ticket
  • 10th and 12th (or equivalent) mark sheets and certificates
  • Transfer certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar card
  • Recent passport-size photographs.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech Programs: KCEA offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Data Science. Admissions are done based on TS EAMCET scores. The college has a total intake of 150 seats for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, while other branches have 60 or 30 seats each. Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 with subjects Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.

MBA Program: The MBA program has 60 seats. Entrance to this program is based on the scores obtained in TSICET. Admission to 70% of the seats is based on the merit of this examination, while the rest may go through management quota.

Diploma Programs: KCEA offers diploma programs across several engineering branches such that the Computer Science and Engineering Diploma, the Electronics and Communication Engineering Diploma, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Diploma, the Mechanical Engineering Diploma, and the Civil Engineering Diploma. The basis of admission is TS POLYCET scores into these diploma programs. Each diploma program has an intake of about 60 to 120 seats.

BBA Program: The college also has a BBA program with an intake of 60 students. The admission protocol for this may run parallel to the MBA one, assessing TSICET scores.
