KTS Government Degree College was established in Ananthapur as a coeducation institution. Admission Procedure for Various Degrees

B.A. Programmes: KTS Government Degree College offers four B.A. programmes which consist of History, Economics and Political Science; History, Economics and Rural Development; Telugu, History and Political Science; and History, Political Science, and Education. For the purpose of admission, performance in the 12th standard examination is the only criterion while being focused on the subjects related to the selected course.

B.Com. Programmes: The college has included three undergraduate courses in Commerce: B.Com (General), B.Com Telugu Medium, and B.Com Computer Applications. Admission of candidates for all three B.Com programs is based on marks secured in the relevant 12th examination, giving additional preference to those who studied Commerce or allied subjects in their higher secondary education.

B.Sc. Programs: The courses offered as part of B.Sc. programs are Mathematics, Physics and Electronics; Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science; Microbiology, Botany, and Chemistry. Imposition of admission procedures under competitive awareness will account on the performance of candidates under Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or any other relevant subject for the 12th Exam. 

The postgraduate program of two years in A. Economics will give consideration to the performance of the candidate according to the relevant bachelor's degree. Entrance test and/or interview may be organized to check the candidates aptitude towards advanced studies in Economics. 

M.Sc Mathematics: Admission to this two-year post-graduate program will be based on the performance of the candidate in their B.Sc Mathematics or equivalent degree. The college may also consider scores in relevant entrance exams or conduct its own selection process.
