About Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore
Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore also known as KCT Coimbatore is a private institution that was established in 1984 under the guidance of the Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation. Kumaraguru College of Technology has been approved by the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is also affiliated to Anna University.
KCT Coimbatore offers undergraduate courses that lead to a BE/B.Tech degree in fifteen distinct specialisations. Meanwhile, KCT Coimbatore offers graduate courses that lead to M.E/MTech, and MCA degrees, with fourteen specialisation programmes. Eleven research specialisations are available in Ph.D. curricula offering KCT doctoral courses.
As per the official website, more than 700 students were placed during the placements drive in 2024. Some of the top recruiters are Directi, Byju’s, Bosch, Jockey, Decathlon, Amazon and more that participate in the placements drives. KCT Coimbatore infrastructure is built over an area of approximately 156 acres which encompasses all of its academic buildings, administrative blocks, hostels, library, laboratories and more.
KCT Coimbatore provides facilities consisting of separate hostels for male and female students, indoor games and outdoor sports facilities, a library, auditoriums for seminars/conferences, computing facilities, a cafeteria, and medical facilities and more available at the KCT Coimbatore campus for the students and staff.

The classrooms are very spacious and good. Each department has all the centre of excellence labs provided by many companies, such as Siemens, Yokogawa, and Fluke Calibration labs. Hostels provided are well and good, There are two type of hostels: one is the regular one and the other is called Hive, which located outside the campus. The rooms are provided with AC, Wi-Fi, etc.

Our college has all the facilities. The Wi-Fi facility, library, labs, classrooms, sports, medical facilities, hostel, entertainment hall, etc., are good on the campus. In a hostel, they are providing the Wi-Fi facilities. We have gym and sports department. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls, and a separate mess for freshers and remaining students. The hostel rooms are good, and we can feel like a home.

It was located in the main place of the Coimbatore. For every half an hour, the bus service is available from Gandhipuram. There are many trees around the campus. Here the water planet is available to provide purified water. The current was also available 24/7. There is free Wi-Fi zone.

With a TNEA cutoff of 183 and belonging to the SC community, there is a good possibility of getting a B.Tech IT or BE CSE seat in Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), but it will depend on the overall merit and available seats within the SC category. KCT is a reputable engineering college, and while 183 is a competitive score, it's not out of reach, especially with the SC category reservation.
