Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Library is situated on the second floor with a spacious reading hall. Computers with internet facilities are made available to students and teachers. A library catalog is made available to the students through an intranet. Students are now given direct access to the bookshelves. Handicapped students are given special attention and assistance in the selection of books and periodicals. Library service is automated. The library has over 39000 books and a collection of over 66 Periodicals. Several Ph.D. Thesis, M.Phil. Dissertation, Project Reports submitted by faculty and students are made available for reference. Over 710 CDs / DVDs on various topics/subjects are available in its rich collection.

The College has Co-curricular activities, and it has an air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 650, where cultural programs are held. The foyer of the auditorium is available throughout the year for practice for various programs. The music system is available for cultural programs for the students.

The College has a canteen facility on the ground floor with a seating capacity for about 100 students. Various eatables and beverages are served to the students and staff members in this canteen.

The College has a Computer Center that has been provided with Computers powered with i3 and i5 processors. The entire arrangement is oriented with a 1 HP server and a Structured networking system with 12 MBPS Hathway Leased line and a broadband connection of 4 MBPS from MTNL. The Computer Centre provides excellent internet surfing and downloading facilities. Students are provided with State-of-the-art Wi-fi technology, enabling wireless access on their laptops. The 4th-floor computer lab has 27 computers, and the 5th-floor computer lab has 42 computers.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a Health Center located on the third floor with a visiting doctor, Dr. Komal Jatania, MBBS, DCH.

The college Club was formed on 10th February 2010 under the guidance of our college trustee, Late Dr. Ramesh Gupta, and our teacher coordinator, Prof. Asha Aggarwal Mam. The club sets a platform for students of the college to interact with one another and also conduct various projects for the improvement of society, which has a long-lasting effect on people's memory. RCLC has undertaken various projects which have involved social issues like educating the masses about saving water, and also an eye camp for the villagers. RCLC also undertakes fun projects that involve various activities like a treasure hunt, sports tournaments, etc.

The college has To make the teaching-learning process student-centric, the College strives to organize several workshops and seminars for students, which provide them with in-depth exposure to the topic of concern, and also enrich them with the experience of our esteemed Resource Persons who have been practically working in the area, and thus can take students through a journey, highlighting the key aspects of the subject and exposing them to the crux of the matter.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
