Liberal College, Indore Admission Process

Liberal College, Indore, as an affiliated college in Madhya Pradesh with courses in all faculties. Admission is purely on merit, with transparency, in accordance with the State Government and University affiliated therewith.  The admission cycle is typically during the academic year from August to September. Though no fixed date exists, it is rather in the interest of any aspiring student to keep looking up the college website for the important dates and announcements regarding application closing dates. Eligibility criteria change from one program to the other. In general, students aspiring for admission in undergraduate courses are expected to have completed their education 10+2 from any recognized school and board. For a postgraduate degree, the candidate should be a qualified graduate from some relevant field. 

Other specifications may comprise certain criteria or entrance examinations. For some programs, like B.Ed and D.El.Ed, admission will be based on merit scores, these being determined by the marks obtained either in the qualifying examination or in entrance tests, as per state government policy and university rule.  For programs like B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. merit lists based on the scores of qualifying exams or entrance examinations are prepared for admission as stipulated by State Government and University regulations. 

Application process

1. Check out the admission notifications and the application method on the official website of Liberal College, Indore.

2. Make an application for the course of choice, fill it up with the requisite details, and submit it online or in hard copy at the college campus.

3. Pay the application fee for the program, as determined by the college.

4. Submit the completed application form with all the required documents to the College; important ones would be:

  • Mark sheets and certificates of 10th and 12th
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (for postgraduate courses)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Other documents laid down by the college or specific to the course

5. Write the entrance examination on the date specified for the program if it is exam-based entry.

6. Wait for either a merit list or call for the counseling/interview process, depending on the program.

7. For programs requiring an entrance examination, merit lists are to be awaited or dtizitcs for counseling/ interviews, but again depending on the program.

8. Selected candidates must complete admissions formalities, which include verification of documents and payment of fees, within the stipulated period.

9. Subsequently, an orientation program would be conducted, and classes would commence per the college schedule.

Degree wise Admission Process 

BA LLB (Hons): One of the flagship programs of Liberal College, the program has approval for 120 intake per academic year. Admission will be based on merit based on qualifying examination marks or law entrance test scores, the details not being clear.

B.Ed.: The selection of B.Ed. candidates takes place once a year after August-September on the basis of academic merit; direct entry into the course may be possible through authorized representatives of respective states for B.Ed. and for D.El.Ed.

D.El.Ed.: Just like B.Ed. this course will have 100 seats; hence the merit-based admission.

B.Com and B.Com with Computer Applications: Admission to these undergraduate programmes in commerce is likely to be based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examinations in relevant subjects

BA and B.Sc Computer Science: Offered in arts and science streams; candidates are expected to meet the admission requirements laid down consisting in general of 10+2 scores in relevant subjects.

MSW and MA English: These are the maximum postgraduate options that students can pursue with their respective bachelor's degrees. Admission will be based either on graduation marks or entrance test score.

M.Sc Zoology: Offered as a postgraduate science program, it probably requires B.Sc. admission in a related field.

PGDCA: Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications is also on offer; it generally requires a bachelor degree for admission.
