Little Flower Institute of Social Sciences and Health, Kozhikode Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Affiliated college Little Flower Institute of Social Sciences and Health (LISSAH), situated at Kozhikode in the state of Kerala, conducts a wide range of social sciences and health-based courses. LISSAH conducts its admission procedure with the intent of choosing candidates of merit to study its numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The admission process at LISSAH is mainly merit-based for all the courses available at the institution. For undergraduate courses, students are usually expected to have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. Admission to postgraduate courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the concerned bachelor's degree course.

Application Process

The application procedure for LISSAH differs to some extent depending on the course. Nevertheless, the general process is as follows:

1. Go to the official LISSAH website and look for admission notices and application forms.

2. Download and complete the application form for the intended course. Make sure all information is properly filled in.

3. Collect all necessary documents, which normally include:

• Passport size photographs
• 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets (for postgraduate applicants)
• Transfer certificate from the last institution attended
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (if applying under a reserved category)

4. Send the filled application form and all supporting documents to LISSAH's admission office. This can typically be accomplished personally or by mail.

5. Pay the application fee set by the institute. The amount of the fee and how it is payable will be indicated in the application form or on the website.

6. For postgraduate courses, shortlisted students can be invited for an interview or entrance test. The choice for MA English, M.Sc Psychology, MSW, MA Journalism and Mass Communication, and M.Com is mainly on the basis of merit.

7. After selection, students will have to undergo admission formalities, i.e., document verification and fee payment.

8. Report to the orientation program and join classes according to the academic calendar.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Programs:

• B.Sc Psychology: This course takes 60 students in its intake. Admission is on the basis of the performance of the candidate in their 10+2 examination with special emphasis on concerned subjects.
• B.Sc Sociology: The course provides 40 seats. Applicants who have done their 10+2 from a recognized board can apply.
• B.Sc Computer Science: There are 24 seats in this course, and the candidates are admitted on the basis of their performance at 10+2, mainly in the subjects of mathematics and computer science.

BA Program:

• BA English with Journalism and Audio Visual Communication: There are 40 students taken in by this course. The candidates are admitted on the basis of their 10+2 performance, mainly English language proficiency.
• BSW (Bachelor of Social Work):
• The BSW course has 40 seats. Applicants who hold a 10+2 degree from any recognized board are eligible to apply for admission.

Postgraduate Courses:

• MSW (Master of Social Work): There are 20 seats in this course. Admission is granted on the basis of merit of the bachelor's degree of the applicant, preferably in social sciences.
• MA Journalism and Mass Communication: There are 20 seats in this course. Admission is granted on the basis of merit of the candidate's relevant bachelor's degree.
• MA English: A total of 20 seats in this program can be applied by candidates with a bachelor's degree in English and related courses.
• M.Com: 20 students are given admission to this program on merit basis depending upon the candidate's B.Com or related degree.
• M.Sc Psychology: Being offered 12 seats, it admits candidates as per their record in a corresponding bachelor's course, preferably in Psychology.
