hi,

sorry to say madras institute of technology is not provide lateral entry admission in b.tech courses for diploma pass candidates. as it is a part of anna university it strictly follow the rules and regulations of the university, btech admission is done on first year by anna university counselling, eligibility criteria is 12th pass from a recognized education board with pcm as compulsory subjects. There is no lateral entry admission  for Bachelor Engineering Degrees in MIT or CEG or ACT.

psg college of technology is best for lateral entry admission .

Hi Utkarsh,

Madras Institute of Technology is situated in Chennai. For UG admissions, you need to have passed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in PCM. For B.E./B.Tech, you need to go through the TNEA conselling process which considers your 12th standard marks as merit. The institute offers a B.Tech. in IT and Rubber and Plastics. However, there is a 4-year B.E. course available in Computer Science and Engineering for Rs. 2 Lakhs total fees.

Congratulations for you Rank of 979.

Yes, you can get "Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering" i.e., ECE  at MIT WPU with your Rank of 979.

Because the cutoff Ranks for this branch at MIT WPU is around 4.8 K for other states' candidates and around 6 K for Home state candidates.

Hello Dhruv,

If we need to compare the acceptance rate of iit's with top ivy league schools, it is much easier to enter into ivy leagues schools like harvard, mit because their acceptance rate is 5% whereas acceptance rate of iit is nearly 1percent. So absolutely getting seat in iit is very tough compared to getting seat in top universities like harvard, mit etc. As mentioned here, top test scores doesn't guarantee admission in mit or harvard. The following steps are essential to be followed in order to get into top ivy league colleges

  1. Comparitively good Gre and Toefl scores( Above 320 in gre and 110 in toefl).
  2. Stellar academic credentials( anything about 8cgpa in bachelor's)
  3. Great Lor(Letter of Recommendation) and excellent Sop(Statement of Purpose)
  4. If possible, some research papers and internships.

These all conditions are taken into account while selecting an student

Hello,

You have to clear an entrance exam. You can choose any one of it. BITSAT is good as you can get an admission at BITS which is ranked after NIT. You will good scope for your career. You can explore many things and you will learn many new things.

But any exam you choose and after getting your rank , you can get an admission in any college with CSE branch for Btech degree.

To make a awesome career, you have to work hard. No college,no exam will help you. Teacher can guide you and explain you the concepts but the work or adventure is your. Awesomeness comes when you do something which never existed. And this is your own job.

Even students at IIT does lots of hardwork to make things happen and they are evaluated and supported by Top MNCs. They are provided with lots of oppurtunity there but the whole work is done by the candidate only.

Opportunities are infinite and never ending. I can't list it out here. You can open to oppurtunities but you can grab one only when you have skills which can stun the competitor which only happens with complete knowledge and creativity.

Hope it helps!

Hello Brajesh,

There are so many applicants who want to pursue post graduation and other degree from MIT and other IVY league colleges. Being one of the top 5 colleges of the world, there is a huge competition as applicants from all over the world apply here. You can assume that the competition is even greater than that in JEE.

For getting selected in MIT/Cambridge you will have to go thriugh some processes. First of all you will need to prepare the documents required for studying abroad. These include your VISA, Passport, your application letter, LOR, Statement of Purpose and other proceedings, that are necessary for any particular university. You may see the admission procedure for MIT from below link: https://mitadmissions.org/apply/firstyear/international/

https://mitadmissions.org/apply/ , The process is slightly different for international students. You may want to consider some professionals who conduct the admission procedure. After that you should apply and if your application is selected, then MIT will call you for interview, and after that they'll confirm your admission.

Since the number of applicants is quite high, they filter candidates based on several criteria, such as overall personality, contribution to the society, grades, extra-curricular and everything you can imagine from your writing to your financial status.

Hope this Helps

Regards
