MGM CET Mumbai Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

College of Engineering and Technology (MGM CET), Navi Mumbai, known for the various engineering courses at both bachelor's and master's degree levels. The admission process of MGM CET is a quintessential way of assessing the deserving candidates for various programs. The entrance process into the MGM CET includes the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). This is a state-level entrance examination held once a year for admission to various engineering and technology programs in the state of Maharashtra. The MHT CET for this academic year has likely been conducted on 8 April 2025, in online mode, for the PCB group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Generally, for undergraduate programs, a candidate will be considered eligible for admission if he/she has completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (confirm with the admission office regarding this). Separate eligibility conditions may be stipulated for each program category of applicants. Please note that MGM CET observes the reservations applicable under the Government of Maharashtra norms. Generally, the admission process starts after the MHT CET results are out. Candidates qualifying in the entrance examination will then have to go through a centralized admission process conducted by state authorities. Finally, the allotment of seats will depend upon the candidate's merit in the MHT CET, prior academic performance, and availability in the preferred program.

Application Process

Normally, the application procedure for admission into MGM CET will comprise the following steps:

1. Register and appear for the MHT CET examination. The MHT CET examination has been scheduled for April 8, 2025, for the forthcoming academic year.

2. After the declaration of the MHT CET results, eligible candidates will apply for the centralized admission procedure conducted by state authorities.

3. Fill out the MGM CET online application form providing accurate personal and academic details.

4. All relevant documents to be uploaded, including:

• MHT CET score card
• Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards
• Domicile certificate (if applicable)
• Category certificate (for candidates under the reserved category)
• Recent passport-sized photographs

5. Payment of the application fee prescribed by the institute.

6. Counseling sessions in which candidates will be allotted seats based on their MHT CET rank, preferences, and availability of seats.

7. If a seat is allotted to him/her at MGM CET, it is mandatory for him/her to report to the institute to get the documents verified and get admitted within the stipulated period.

8. Payment of the required tuition fee for admission. Total fees for B.E. programs in MGM CET amounts to Rs. 3,24,720.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.E.: MGM-CET offers different B.E. programs namely Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Data Science. Admission to these programs is mainly based on MHT CET scores. Total intake at the institute is 630 seats in various B.E. programs with Computer Engineering having the highest intake of 180 seats.

M.E.: MGM CET is granting the M.E. degree in Chemical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. While we have not received explicit information regarding M.E. admissions, one could assume GATE scores or a university entrance exam, followed by counselling, is the mode of admission.
