Mata Ganga Khalsa College for Girls, Kottan, is one of the eminent institutions for women's education in Ludhiana district, Punjab. Degree wise Admission Process
B.A.: The college offers the Bachelor of Arts course. Admission is probably given on the basis of performance of the candidates in 10+2 examinations. Certain subject combinations and eligibility conditions may differ, so it is best to verify with the college.
B.Sc. Computer Science: Candidate for B.Sc. Computer Science will be favored over all others who have completed the 10+2 level of examination weight on Mathematics and Computer Science.
B.Com: Bachelor of Commerce admission basically considers the performance of a candidate in the 10+2 examination with additional weight for subjects like Accountancy, Economics, and Mathematics.
BCA: Bachelor of Computer Applications probably expects candidates to have Mathematics in their 10+2 level. The admission process may favorably consider marks in the relevant subject.
B.Sc Non-Medical: The courses for B.Sc Medical and B.Sc Non-Medical will have separate admission criteria. B.Sc. Non-Medical candidates will come from a background of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2, while B.Sc Medical candidates are required to have studied Biology in addition to Physics and Chemistry.
B.Sc. Fashion Designing will generally have a separate selection criterion, maybe on the basis of a portfolio or an aptitude test or combination of 10 + 2 marks.
MA Programs (Punjabi, History, Political Science): Applicants for a master's program should have a bachelor's degree in the appropriate or related field. Candidates are likely to be selected on the basis of their performance in undergraduate coursework as well as an entrance test and/or interview.
M.Com: M.Com admissions generally require a candidate to possess B.Com or its equivalent, while their selection is going to be based on their performance in qualifying degrees.
PGDCA: For admission into Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, candidates from any graduate background are welcome, but preference is given to graduates of Mathematics or Computer Science.
