The college has decent facilities. Classrooms are nice but there are no ACs, so it can get really hot during the summers. The library is decent. Wifi can sometimes be an issue. The food from canteen and Pam is pretty good too.
I did my BA English honours in the college. We had a few really good professors, but others were mostly average. Classes and assignments were helpful in developing necessary skills for higher education. The electives offered by the college were also pretty interesting.
The college has a placement cell which is mostly run by students. You have to apply to the cell in your first year to get updates on job opportunities. I personally did not apply, and there are relatively few opportunities there for english graduates.
The Miranda House has all the necessary facilities. There is sports centers, library, labs, wifi, etc. for girls there is only one hostel but that can not accommodate many students so I also did not get. I stayed outside. Otherwise the classroom has projectors, smart boards. Etc. the living places are clean.
I studied BA in English. My professors were really good, experienced and very friendly. The curriculum is updated and has all the recent developments in the field. The course really helped to gain knowledge in the literature.
The placements cell is not that working. Honestly speaking we did not get any placement offers. Although the economics department has placements. But I don't know about the highest package of that as I don't know anyone from that department.
The facilities provided by our college are okay. The infrastructure is very good, the wi-fi facilities are good, and the labs are well-equipped and air-conditioned. Some of the classrooms have AC but some don't. library facility is very good; there are many books of every subject in the library. The hostel is also okay but there is no AC The food is also okay; it is edible, and fruits are also offered every day Sports: Different types of sports are played on campus by the girls.
Teachers are quite helpful; they even don't refuse to answer basic questions. Semester exams are not that easy, but not even tough; the level is enough to judge students abilities. With Math Hons, you can go into research. Many students have cracked jam and CAT.
The placement cell at Miranda House is quite effective and inclusive. A student from mathematics with honors got placed in good companies like Infosys as the data analyst intern with a 12–14 LPA. It gives the opportunity for an internship as well during college time.
Good college.
Miranda House, University of Delhi is one of the best colleges to study in and brag about! The infrastructure is top notch— a spacious hall, lavish lawns with greenery all around, well-ventilated classrooms, a serene library, canteen and nescafe where one gets lip smacking snacks along with the pleasurable sight of cute little mirandian kittens roaming around(a delightful experience for all cat lovers :) )
The academics and the teaching staff of Miranda House is well known throughout the country. The best minds hail from this college, which can be well stipulated by the college's rankings— 1st position in the NIRF rankings for the past 5 years!
Average. Depends on the course and the dedication of the student. Cannot say much about it. If you are a student of humanities not much chances of placements but if you are commerce student, the chances are better.
Best campus life ever and if you have got the college hostel, it is incomparable! All those dinner nights, melas and the biggest and grandest — "Tempest", the annual fest of the college would give you the immense unforgettable memories of your college life.
The infrastructure of this college is best. I would say you'll love it immediately. The red bricks of the college are famous. Dont forget to take a picture in front of those walls. Check the hostel area.
The faculty is great and many senior and experienced teachers work there. The arts faculty has many great teachers who have published many papers in their respective field. Intellectual level of every teacher is mind blowing.
Many placement opportunities are there. You'll be placed after bachelors which I a big deal in today's world. The college will build the confidence and communication skills important qualities that each company looks for.
As it's government college the fees is very less.
Best campus life.
Overall infrastructure is good with red aesthetic bricks and lawns giving nostalgia to the Mirandians. Science block is newly built so, it has new facilities an latest labs but Arts block faces some problems of roof leaking on top floor during heavy monsoons. Library is spacious and has vast variety of books for all courses. Also, it is friendly for PwD and there exists a separate room to make reading accessible to them. All buildings have ramps to meet accessibility requirements for PwD.
Miranda House has very keen professors, who help you with academic as well as personal things but one thing that must not be forgotten as an undergraduate student is that they don't spoon feed like school. It made me realise how different world is and helped me get out of my cuccoon. Professors explain very well and there knowledge is vast but the only thing I didn't like was they asked us to keep doubts for tutorials and they were rarely answered so, try to get answers in the class itself. My course curriculum was a mixture of quantitative plus qualitative subjects and if learnt attentively, it can make your career right after graduation.
The placement cell of Miranda House works wonders in terms of giving opportunity to those studying there whether you are in placement cell or not. There is a portal for MH students where all internship and job opportunities are posted and anyone with MH ID can access it and apply. Big 4 along with many many other companies come for hiring but it's a tough nut to crack.
It comes under centre and thus, very affordable.
Fests, events keep the college environment very lively. Different fests for departments, societies are held and even auditions for Roadies were held in 2019.
The vibrant campus life at Miranda House is one of its key attractions. The college hosts a variety of cultural, academic, and sports events throughout the year, including the much-anticipated annual fest, Tempest. Numerous societies and clubs cater to diverse interests, from debating and dramatics to dance and music, providing ample opportunities for students to explore and hone their talents.
It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines, including Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. The college is particularly known for its excellent faculty, many of whom are accomplished scholars and researchers. The curriculum is rigorous, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and deep understanding of their subjects.
students have access to a plethora of internship like VC summer internship and job opportunities. Top companies and organizations frequently visit the campus for recruitment, and the college boasts a strong placement record. Career guidance and skill development workshops further prepare students for the professional world.
For my course, the fees is approx. 1400.it is value for money for real.
Miranda House is more than just an educational institution; it is a nurturing ground for young women to develop into well-rounded, confident, and capable individuals. Its blend of academic excellence, vibrant campus life, and robust support systems make it an ideal choice for women
Miranda House, one of India's premier institutions for women, offers an exemplary infrastructure that greatly enhances the academic and extracurricular experiences of its students. It's infrastructure is really good.
Academically our college can be considered best , teachers teaching here are really very good and knowledgeable. The also teach really nicely. Teachers know how to co-operate with the students nicely.
Placement of our college is not that nice according to my point of view and other students point of view too. However still there are some batches whi has got good placement but it can't be seen with every batches of students.
College fees is affordable and good but expenses for living in hostels are very High and seats in hostel are also very less .
The college is committed to providing state of art infrastructure and the best possible facilities in pursuit of sustained excellence while preserving the architectural grand of its building. The college has recorded a phenomenal growth marked over decades of its existence
Honestly, joining Miranda house after being a part of girls, school was not something I was looking forward to. However, when I got into Miranda house, I experienced how the alumni of the university and the college are so thankful of being a part of the college.
The average package is around five lakh per annum. However, the placement varies every year placement records are very important at the college. It might depend on the students performance and how she was in the college.
I think since Miranda is run By government, the fees is not a lot as compared to the value that the degree will hold. However, people say that there has been an increment in the fees in comparison to the previous years.
The campus life is good and I met a few good people in the college and made some very good friends. Overall there are a lot of fest organised which enables us to have memories also that makes the college life more interactive even after being a girls college.
With its majestic red-brick buildings, lush green campus, and well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and libraries, Miranda House offers students an enriching learning environment. Miranda House is vibrant.
Miranda House College, affiliated with the University of Delhi, is known for its high academic standards and quality teaching. The faculty at miranda house is truly knowledgeable, supportive and approachable.
Miranda house offers great opportunities in terms of placements. It is well organised.Placements are more for students who are pursuing economics honors. There are internships too for students which are posted on the college's placement cell website.
My course costs around 18000 per year which is pretty affordable.
Miranda House has a vibrant and diverse campus life.It offers students a diverse range of opportunities for personal and academic growth.Miranda house is in north famous which is a safe area for university students.

Hello,
The eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Sc Zoology is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry minimum 55% aggregate marks and 50% aggregate marks in English from a recognized board. The merit the is calculated by considering the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry only. Considering the previous year cut off you have decent chances of getting seat in B.Sc Zoology in the preferred college.
