4 Memorable years with good friends in a good college.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

MIT AOE is a fairly adequate college on the outskirts of Pune, I. e., Alandi(D). It has all the basic necessities, including separate boys hostel and girls hostel, libraries, enough laboratories, etc. The college has it's central Library along with departmental libraries. We have a huge number of clubs, including dance, art, maths, photography, singing etc. All the wings have Wi-Fi. I personally do not like the sports facility. MIT AOE has 2 canteens, with fairly decent and hygienic food.

    Academics

I'm a final year undergraduate from Electronics Engineering. I've always loved the subject, hence the preferred branch. The teachers of our department are very friendly. They work hard to teach us basic concepts. Sometimes they fail, but if we're paying enough attention, we will grasp everything in the curriculum. I feel everything they're teaching is up-to-date, and lands us in good companies. For instance, I got placed in early September. Teachers take us for educational visits every semester.

    Placements

My batch was the first one to face autonomy. Till 2019, the placements were fairly poor. But in the 2020 batch, we have a large number of companies coming in. For placements, we generally go to the main MIT which is situated in Kothrud. But this year, many companies have come to the Alandi campus. Almost 60% students are already placed. Because of the quarantine, currently the placement activities are at a standstill moment. I'm sure the faculties are now planning their best for the students.

    Value for Money

The college costs us an approximate amount of 1.3lacs per year. Including exam fees, departmental fees and other relevant expenses. The hostel costs us around 85k-1lacs rupees. Their are different options for canteens, so I'm not including them. I would say that the money is somehow worth what we're getting.

    Campus Life

As mentioned earlier, this college is situated in the outskirts of Pune. We don't have any franchise near our college, even for simple cravings we have to go 10-15 kms into the city. Although for the good part, we have many clubs so the time we have there is completely worthwhile. But we have poor sports facility. Also we have a Nakshtra week, which is the college fest, which is not so grand but gives a good break from the hectic life. The college is pretty safe, and the location is serene.

    hi,

MIT Academy of Engineering, MAEER is a private auonomous institution, college is affiliated under savitri bai phule pune university. based on students review the placement cell is very active and by doing the analysis of previous years placement data, around 80% students placed every year in mostly IT service based companies. the major recruiter are tcs, barclays infosys, accenture, wipro etc. the mncs allow all branches students to appear on system engineer profile. so even if you belongs to AEIE stream you would get ample opportunity to get placed in top mncs which visit the mit academy campus for placement.
