MK College of Engineering and Technological Research (MKCETR), Patan, is an institution that plays host to engineers. It is located right next to the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University campus and has set in place an admission process where only deserving candidates make it into its engineering programs. MKCETR primarily works with the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) admission procedure for candidates who are braving the toil to assume responsibility in engineering for admission into the college.
The admission cycle for MKCETR is generally in consonance with the schedule for GUJCET. The eligibility for admission in the engineering programs requires a candidate to have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The candidates are also required to qualify in the GUJCET examination to be eligible for admission to the different engineering disciplines offered by the college.
Application Process
The Application for admission to MKCETR involves several steps:
1. GUJCET Registration: The prime step for any candidate is to register for the GUJCET examination. The online application for GUJCET 2025 shall be available from December 15, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
2. GUJCET Examination: Candidates shall be required to appear in GUJCET on the scheduled date, which is of paramount importance for the admission into MKCETR.
3. Result Declaration: Following the announcement of GUJCET results, candidates are able to check their scores and ascertain their eligibility for MKCETR programs.
4. Application to College: The eligible candidates must subsequently apply directly to MKCETR. This may include filling out a college-specific application form and submitting certain documents.
5. Document Verification: The shortlisted candidates will have to submit and verify their documents, signifying 10th and 12th marks, GUJCET score card, domicile certificate (as applicable), category certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant certificate by the institute.
6. Merit List: The merit list shall be prepared by the college on the basis of GUJCET scores and other criteria as per state admission rules.
7. Counselling and Seat Allotment: Candidates qualifying for counselling will be called in for counselling based on their merit ranks while they will be alloting into their preferred engineering branch on the basis of merit rank on a seat availability basis.
8. Payment of Fee: After having been allotted a seat, the candidates must secure their admission by paying the requisite fees within the given time.
9. Final Admission: Their admission to MKCETR gets confirmed after the successful completion of the aforementioned steps.
Degree -wise Admission Process
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): MKCETR is offering full-time B.E. courses, five in number for the duration of four years. Admission to these B.E. courses is based primarily on the performance of the candidates in the GUJCET examination. The B.E. programs offered here include:
For admission to each of these programs, the candidate should have studied the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level and should have qualified in the GUJCET examination. There is a total intake of 215 students for all engineering programs at the college, which makes this a rather tough platform to get into the glory of.
