ML Institute of Diploma Studies, Visnagar Admission Process
ML Institute of Diploma Studies, Visnagar, one of the oldest institutions in Gujarat, India, strives to provide quality education in several engineering fields. The institute has a relatively simple admission procedure for admission into diploma programs, which is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE. Admission is managed by the larger Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses, ACPDC, for ML Institute of Diploma Studies. The ACPDC checks the academic results of the candidates in their previous qualifying examinations and publishes merit lists. The system assists a good number of students who have passed their secondary school to get admission. The institute offers six full-time engineering diploma programs in various disciplines over a period of three years for students to choose from based on their own preferences and career prospects.
Generally, the selection process for admission is held in conformity with the calendar of the academic year, so that admissions are likely to commence in the months prior to the actual commencement of the academic year. Generally, the procedure for admission into the diploma program at ML Institute indicates that one should have passed an examination of 10+2 or its equivalent in the relevant subjects, mostly in the field of science and mathematics. At the same time, these criteria may, however, vary from course to course; therefore, the candidates are requested to check accordingly.
Application Process
The admissions procedure to the ML Institute of Diploma Studies, Visnagar, is executed by the Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC). The following are the steps:
1. Notification: Watch for the admission notification on ACPDC and ML Institute of Diploma Studies official websites.
2. Online Application: When application forms are opened, fill the details in the ACPDC online application. Make sure accuracy is maintained for all details filled and in accordance with the academic records.
3. Document Uploading: Upload all essential documents as required in the application form. This generally includes:
- 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
- School Leaving Certificate
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Recent passport-length photographs
4. Payment of Application Fees: Pay the application fees by the means directed by ACPDC.
5. Merit List: After the last date for submission of application forms, ACPDC will analyze the applications and form a merit list based on the academic performance of the candidates relative to their qualifying examinations.
6. Counseling: Selected candidates are called for an admission counseling process when they can select their course according to their merit and availability of seats.
7. Admission Confirmation: After candidates are allotted their seat at ML Institute of Diploma Studies, they are required to confirm their admission by paying the mentioned fees.
8. Orientation: All candidates admitted to the program are required to attend the orientation program conducted by the institute to gather firsthand experience of the campus, faculty members, and academic procedures.
Admission process Degree-wise
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: Presently, having an intake of 120 seats, the selection for this program is through merit list made by ACPDC according to the marked scored in qualifying examinations by the candidates with no entrance exam for this program.
Diploma in Automobile Engineering: This program is again allotted 120 seats, and the admission criteria follow the same policy in line with Mechanical Engineering diploma. ACPDC publishes merit lists based on marks obtained in the academic qualification.
Civil Engineering Diploma: This program again has an intake of 120. It follows the same merit-based admission criteria as that for Mechanical Engineering, with no specific entrance examination.
Electrical Engineering Diploma: The program admits 60 students. ACPDC prepares a merit list based on candidates' academic performance in the qualifying examinations.
Computer Engineering Diploma: Admission to this course is granted on the basis of the candidates' performance in the academic qualification assessment conducted by ACPDC in accordance with other programs with 60 seats allocated for students.
Electronics and Communication Engineering Diploma: This course has 30 seats. The admission procedure is similar to other diploma programs, which use merit lists based on academic performance as defined by ACPDC.
