Mohamed Sathak AJ College of Engineering, Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provided a hostel for boys separately, accommodating 350 boys. The College Boys' Hostel is situated within the Campus. There are about 233 non-AC rooms that can accommodate 2 people per room, and 6 AC rooms can accommodate 2 people per room. In total, the hostel can accommodate 400 students (s). All the rooms are well furnished with modern amenities such as a wooden cot, a mattress with pillows, bedspreads, individual cupboards, a chair-table with lamp, and wall hangers. Each room accommodates only 2 persons. A hygienic canteen is available for dining within the premises. An entertainment hall with an LCD-TV, indoor game facilities, a reading room with newspapers, and popular magazines is available. The Hostel has a landline telephone and Wi-Fi internet access. Further, for the benefit of the hostellers, the College Main Library and the Computer Centre are kept open till 7:30 PM. With all the above facilities, the college is sure that the students will feel more at home and concentrate on their studies, facilitated by the serene atmosphere, filled with greenery, surrounding the Hostel.

The College Girls' Hostel is situated at Sholinganallur, 5 KM away from the campus. This hostel is located in the main posh area with safety and security. Everything is available at the entrance of the Hostel. There are about 71 rooms, which can accommodate 3 girl students per room. All the rooms are well furnished with modern amenities such as a wooden cot, a mattress with pillows, bedspreads, individual cupboards, a chair-table with a lamp for study purposes, and wall hangers. Each room is provided with a bath and toilet facilities, a washbasin, and a mirror. An entertainment hall with LCD-TV, indoor game facilities, a reading room with newspapers, and popular magazines are some of the distinct additions. The Hostel is connected with communication facilities such as land-line telephone and Wi-Fi internet access. Further, for the benefit of the hostellers, the Library facility and the Computer facility are made available till 9:00 pm, which can be effectively utilized to widen their knowledge and skills. With all the above facilities, we are sure that the girls will feel more at home and concentrate on their studies, facilitated by the serene atmosphere, filled with greenery, surrounding the Hostel.

The College Medical Center is well equipped with a resident Medical Officer. It has separate inpatient facilities for male and female students. The health center provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The center has 6 beds and an adequately supplied medicine cabinet in the Nursing college and is located on the campus itself. Besides that, the college has first aid kits made available in almost all blocks and Labs. A 24-hour ambulance facility, adequate pharmaceutical support, and medical lab services are a few of the notable services offered.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College library is housed in a spacious area of 840 Sq.m., fully computerized with Reference Section, Magazine Section, Stack Area, and Digital Library. Presently, there are more than 25430 books and 4218 reference volumes stacked for the benefit of staff and students. The library subscribes to more than 90 specialized journals, over 40 of them being international. are also members of the US Information Service (USIS), British Council Library, CSIR, DELNET, CII, Madras Productivity Council, and Anna University.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.

The college has the facility of a spacious and hygienic cafeteria that caters to the taste of all students. It can conveniently accommodate 400 students at a time. The cafeteria is provided with modern furniture, electrical cooking, and storage facilities which provide delicious breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages both for students and staff at reasonable rates. Separate space is available for students and staff. It is well maintained with effective service. It remains open on all working days from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.

The college has Well well-furnished and centralized AC auditorium available on the campus to conduct various national-level and international-level events. The auditorium has various facilities such as world-class acoustic arrangements, projector facilities for AVs, a green room, and restrooms for boys and girls.

The College is easily accessible from Chennai Central Railway Station, Tambaram Railway Station, and CMDA Bus Station by the state-operated transport service. In addition, the College provides its own transportation for students and staff residing in and around the campus. The Institute has 22 buses, one Tata ACE, One Ambulance for the benefit of students and the staff. The transport facility is available from various places in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur districts to the institute on all working days. The bus facilities are being utilized for local social service activities, Sports, NCC/ NSS activities, Placement and Training activities, industrial visits, and educational trips. The transport facilities ensure that the students and staff are able to reach the college in time with the utmost care and ease.

The College Indian Bank is situated 200 m away from the campus, and the ATM facility is made available in the college entrance. Staff and students for transactional all days. They can withdraw the money at any point in time without hassles. The public can also use ATMs at any time.

SPORTS CLUB

Introduction
This club maintains records of sports and games events attended by students within the college, within the university, and outside at the regional/state /national levels, and their achievements/ awards. Submit annual report on the sports/ events and budget allocations & spending during the year. Conduct the sports events that students need, and reward them with trophies and medals

Introduction
Mohamed Sathak AJ College of Engineering has successfully inaugurated the ENVISTA CLUB.
In that,a total of 10 clubs are going to take part actively in this.

SCIENCE CLUB

Introduction
The Science Club was started with an aim to invite many eminent scientists who would share their experience with the students and motivate them to get scientific knowledge. Activities are designed primarily to introduce students to undertake interesting/exciting science and technology projects. The Science Club consists of a group of students who want to explore the many branches of engineering, mathematics, and science. The club is open to all students. The purpose of the Science Club is to promote interest, understanding, and knowledge of the scientific world amongst the college students and the local community

ROBOTIC CLUB

Introduction
Students who are interested in learning about and using robots can come together to form a robotics club. Teams of students must design and construct a robot that can compete against opponents in a number of distinct challenges in order to win the robotics tournament.

ENERGY & ECO CLUB

Energy Club
The goal of the Energy Club is to raise and spread knowledge about responsible and sustainable energy use. Given the limited quantity of fossil fuels available, resource management and conservation are urgently needed. Students are introduced to the concept of energy conservation through the Energy Club, as well as the necessity for it and what part they can play in guaranteeing conservation. In order to combat the ongoing energy issue, it helps the students to conserve energy. These actions would support not only the dissemination of information about energy efficiency but also its application in homes and institutions.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

Introduction
The members of the photography club are encouraged to take images as they grow to appreciate the hobby more. It gives workers and students a venue for exploring and appreciating their surroundings through photography, short filmmaking, and screenwriting.
