Narayanadri Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Cuddapah, is a long-standing institution with several engineering programs. The NIST admission process is highly based on the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). It is the main entrance exam held at the state level for granting entry into technical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
The academic year of NIST is generally from August-September onwards, and admission process starts several months in advance. The candidates are required to sit for AP EAMCET, normally in May-June. The counseling is held after the announcement of AP EAMCET results, commonly in July-August.
The AP EAMCET examination involves topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
