This institution is designated for the undergraduate training and postgraduate study of candidates in dentistry. National Dental College and Hospital (NDCH) in Mohali is a premier institution. Admissions into NDCH happen through a national-level qualification examination where the procedure for admissions concludes by reaching the best qualifiers by merit. Undergraduates are admitted through NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test); whereas for postgraduate courses, admissions are strictly by NEET-MDS scores.
The admission schedule of NDCH coincides with those of NEET and NEET-MDS examinations. For the BDS program, it requires a candidate to have completed the 10+2 requirements with subjects having Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the core subjects, whereas, for MDS, it is acquired by having a BDS degree from an appropriate establishment. Degree-Wise Admission Process
BDS: The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is 5 years and accepts 100 students. Admission is by NEET scores. Candidates must have completed their board education (10+2) in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology core subjects and meet the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET as prescribed by the Dental Council of India.
MDS: The MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) programs are several and each lasts for 3 years. The MDS admission procedure is on the basis of the NEET-MDS rankings. The following MDS specializations are offered by MDCH:
Eligibility for MDS program: Must hold BDS degree from any recognized institution and must have completed the internship.
