Classrooms in our college were good. The library was good and equipped with good books. There is a good place to read along with the digital library facility. Medical facilities were available in our college. A doctor visited the college every day. We had good support for games and sports. There was an indoor stadium and a cricket stadium.
All our teachers are very well qualified. They all have good knowledge. But few faculty having the low knowledge. Do not know to teach. Every college has such teachers. But yes. Those subjects are basically self study. Course curriculum is up to date and a lot of activities are planned to make us industry ready.
Almost everyone in Artificial and Data Science branch gets placed here. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA. Some of the companies like TCS, Nautanics, Walmart labs, VMware, etc., visited the campus for placements. Many students got internships in various companies.
The infrastructure of the college is decent, but it is old. One is the new block, and the other is the old block. The old block consists of electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering departments. Hostels and Sports facilities are also very Good and maintained very well.
Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is good. We get industry exposure from college. The course curriculum is useful. Teachers are helpful even after class hours and are very approachable. The course is good, but electives are not taken seriously, and more trained teachers are required to take up those subjects.
The placements were good for IT and Circuit branches, but only a few core companies visit the campus. NMAM Institute meet the expectations concerning the norms promised. Placements for the students of the mechanical The companies like Infosys or Wipro visit the campus Hire more students from my department
The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus has a huge library with books, journals, newspapers, textbooks of the latest editions, and previous year question papers for students. The college provides us with free internet facilities, and its speed is good. Classrooms are very spacious, Each classroom is air-conditioned which is very useful during the summer season. There is a huge stadium where we can play football, cricket etc.
Teachers in our college are well qualified, and they have good teaching skills. They are knowledgeable and hold many degrees like PhD, M.Tech, MS etc. Teaching methods are good. Teachers use projectors and show us live examples related to the working of each machine. They all encourage us to do projects and guide us really well. The student to faculty ratio is good. The course curriculum is helpful.
The college provides very good opportunities for students. More than 100 companies visit our college and offer very good packages. Our college offers us good training on how to crack the interview, and the training is really useful. MNCs like Infosys visit our college and recruit more than 100 students each year. Software giants like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Cognizant, Microsoft, VMWare, Infosys, Oracle, IBM and Accenture have already visited our college.
The infrastructure at this college is very futuristic. For example, all classrooms have air conditioning, and Wi-Fi is available 24/7. The library is also open 24/7 except for holidays. The labs are huge and can accommodate up to 100 students. Hostel rules are very strict, especially for girls. For example, girls must return to the hostel by 6:00 p.m. The mess hall serves both north and south Indian food, and medical facilities are available 24/7. Finally, sports events are held every month.
The faculty at NMAM Institute of Technology are very friendly, but the language barrier can be a problem. Some lecturers prefer to teach in Kannada or Tulu. The curriculum is good, but it moves very fast, and we need to start working in industry from our first year.
Almost all of the students at our college are placed in very reputed companies. The top recurring companies are Biocon and Wipro. Almost all of the students get internships in good-reputed companies and then get placed in very good companies. The highest package in my course was 56 LPA and the lowest was 8 LPA.
The college entrance is full of green trees. But there is a bad smell that is unbearable; it must be cleaned every day to prevent that. The college is away from the city, so there is less pollution. The college has Wi-Fi, but speed is an issue. The college library has many books, newspapers, notes, and study materials. The hostel has separate blocks for girls and boys; in one room, 2 people stay with attached washrooms.
The teachers provide high-quality education, making students industry-ready through skill development courses. All faculty members are friendly and approachable, helping us solve any problems and relieving stress. Well-experienced professors guide the students well.
The Department conducts programs that help the students enhance their knowledge and equip themselves with industry-relevant skills and technology. Soft skills training is arranged to help the students ace the selection process and give them a superior edge in the competitive job markets. Non-placed students are assisted with placements for a year after their graduation through 'Off-Campus' initiatives and referrals.
We have pretty good labs and classrooms, but they don't turn on the AC in class, which is a major drawback in Karkala. Wi-Fi is simply for the sake of it. It's not at all fast for others to use. Only Ethernet cables are fast. The library is very old and compact with very bad librarians. The hostel is average in terms of infrastructure and food. The food is mediocre. It's a coupon-based system.
Some teachers are good, but most of them are just not updated to the current trend. They still teach what they learned in the 90s. No hands-on learning in the curriculum, and if there’s a hands-on activity, none will be done by our faculty members. No, it doesn’t make us industry-ready, of course. Internals are pretty easy, but semester-end exams are pretty average. Most of them pass.
In our department, it was 70-80% placement last year. The highest package was 52 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nutanix, Finacle, and some Japan-based companies. So far, from the college, less than 5 people have gotten internships via the college. We have the Atul Incubation Centre too, in which many startups work, and they also offer internship opportunities.
Our department has smart classrooms, labs for coding, AI, IoT, and networking. Tools like outer and IoT kits help with projects. There is also a library, good Wi-Fi, and space for students to study and work on ideas. Library, project space, and 24/7 Wi-Fi.
The teachers were highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, with a focus on interactive teaching and providing real-world insights. The course curriculum is relevant and well-structured, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be ready in the field.
Exception, with nearly 50-80% placement rates. The average package typically ranges from 3-8 LPA, with higher packages for standout students in tech. Top recruiting companies for my course are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and HCL. The top roles offered are networking and telecommunication roles, embedded systems and IoT roles, cloud computing roles.
The department has many labs as required for its courses. Wi-Fi is available at every computer-based lab and there is a separate departmental library. Classrooms are fitted with projectors in each class. The library is full of books and foreign journals, with a capacity of 300 students at a time.
Faculty members are good as they are well-qualified; most of them are Ph.D. holders or have completed their Master's. Their knowledge is very good. The courses make students industry-ready. Projects in each semester make students ready for the industry. Semester exams depend on the subject. Tough subjects’ papers will be tough, and others will be either tough or medium.
The placement department conducts activities that help students in getting placed. The last best package was 52 LPA, and the average package is 4-6 LPA. Almost 80-90% of students are placed. Top recruiters are DevRev, Nokia, and many more, like Infosys and Japanese companies.
It was great to be at NMAMIT. The college campus its environment and in all very great experience. The branch i studied in was bit tough but in and all it was a great experience. And apart from that itbwas great to be a student at Nitte.
Academics wise really great. But exam pressure gets you sometimes and exams are continuous sometimes. So they really need to work on that part. And thr labs needs to be improved in some areas and practicals need to shown more.
They really dont support you that great in case of that. Even when there is some problem regarding they kind off try to blame it on you. So i personally dont recommend it. And also even when u get in somewhere and something goes wrong they dont come to your aid.
It is value for money except for placements.
It is really great. The college fest, And all everything.
Nothing much.
My college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities that a student would need. The classrooms are spacious and equiped with smart boards, providing a modern learning environment.Laboratories are well maintained with updated equipments, and the library has a diverse collection of books and journals. The food served in the canteen is hygienic with a variety of options.
I recently graduated in BE in EEE because of my interest in digital design and verilog. The quality of teaching is good. The professors focus not only on theoretical knowledge but also practical applications. The curriculum is up to date and includes the latest developments in the field. As per my point of view there must be little more industry exposure to the students to be job ready.
The placement quality at my college is good with top companies visiting. The placement process is smooth supported by training sessions and mock interviews to ensure job readiness. The highest package offered last year was around 52lpa.
It costed around 80k for EEE through CET per year. Yes it was worth it.
The college campus was really beautiful and has a lot of greenery and the overall environment is good. There are a lot of clubs and events held in the college to keep students engaged.
Hi dear candidate,
Either of the options are good, one provides you the skills that are trending in the IT industry and one provides you strong foundation in EEE.
NMAMIT (EEE) is a reputed institution with good potential for jobs in PSUs.
Sahyadri (CSE or AI/ML) provides you the degree with ongoing market trend that also provides much exposure to good placements that are high in demand.
You may look for Sahyadri College with CSE as you should consider it's post benefits as per the trends of market if a reputed college does not matter to you.
At the end, everything matters on your interest so you may look at any of them from our side you may look for CSE in Sahyadri.
HOPE THIS HELPS...
Hello Aspirant,
If you are in a position of choosing EEE at NMAMIT, Nitte or CSE (AI & ML) at Sahyadri College, Mangalore, then I present the following comparison:
If you want a career in tech, coding or with AI, I recommend opting for CSE in AI and ML at Sahyadri. If you intend to follow core engineering pathways better and more established through reputation, I suggest EEE at NMAMIT.
Which One to Choose?
1. Go for NMAMIT if:
You prioritize placements and a consistently high package.
You value a more established reputation and academic rigor.
A peaceful, focused environment is important to you.
2. Go for Sahyadri if:
You are inclined toward entrepreneurship and innovation.
You want to benefit from an urban location for better industry exposure.
You are looking for a relatively affordable option with good facilities.
Both colleges are good choices, but NMAMIT has a slight edge in terms of placements and academic reputation, especially for CSE. However, your final decision should consider your career goals, financial situation, and preferred learning environment.
